How is the bigotry faced by a social group you are not a part of validating?

Because it means this person has successfully tricked the other people into believing that this woman is a man. Facing bigotry for a group they are not a part of is validating because it means the bigots think the person is a part of that social group. Imagine a line cook making a cake and being called a bad professional baker. They aren't a baker, but for someone to think that they are would tell the line cook that they aren't that bad at making cakes considering they aren't actually a professional baker
