That's awful ! Both for the surgery victim and her poor wife. But I cannot help but feel a particular stab of pity at the idea of losing the capacity to orgasm FOREVER. There are people walking among you (post menopausal women) who were so devastated at losing the capacity for multiple orgasms (and then any orgasms at all) , we decided a 3% greater probability of CANCER every day of our remaining lives was a price worth paying, as anorgasmia is worse than cancer to some of us. And these people chose this, albeit because of ignorance and other peoples' lies!

The wife needs to accept that her spouse is GONE, and leave , before the simmering violence becomes overt. No one should accept that. It's sad, but divorce exists for a reason.

"Vaginal atrophy". (That's part of why I laugh at various manopshere bullshit artists, who think all old women automatically have 'loose vaginas". Nope.) Thankfully, various forms of HRT can reverse it, if started in time.
