Except most lesbian subreddits are accepting of trans women

Because the subreddits are controlled by men who ban anyone who disagrees and reddit bans any lesbian subreddit that isn't run by men.

Accepting isn't the right word to use when it's literally forced on lesbians with no way to set boundaries and no alternatives.

Yes, they just cannot see that the reason they are treated so differently to transwomen is that they are actual women.

Anyway, feeling quite depressed. So tired of the transphobia everywhere.

Good. I'm glad reality makes this person depressed, tired, demoralized. Maybe she'll get the hint to stop badgering gay guys for sexual attention. It's so dishonest- she only briefly slips in that it's about "dating", and all the rest of it and the other pathetic specimens piping up is "they're genital fetishists who hate us and want to holocaust us". Cry more I DGAF. These are wretched loons.

Reddit is in general a platform where edgy people flock to spout their edgy / phobic opinions. So my take is that if it’s on Reddit, it’s not indicative of the general population.

The irony.

the main gaybros subreddit isn’t great, though it is wholesome in general, there was a thread a few weeks ago asking the subreddit’s opinion on having sex with a trans man and it was just flooded with transphobia. It seems like general sentiment in many gay subreddits is ‘support our trans bros!’ until you ask if they’d actually date/hook up with one of us…

All of them are TRA on the streets, TERF in the sheets. All of them.

When did support become a synonym for "sleep with"?! I can support people without being attracted to them/wanting to fuck them.

That is kind of what happens when you state that you are attracted to men, you state that transmen are men, but you are in fact a homosexual and not actually attracted to transmen.

It would be wise for transmen to take this support with a grain of salt. And it would nice for gay men to stand up for themselves and be honest about their homosexuality and not put out these conflicting statements. Oh well.

These women hate to see enthusiastic consent and it shows

The very fabric of reality is transphobic. We must destroy reality!

How did r/actuallesbians get colonized? Was it originally run by women?

The original founder way way way back (like 10 years ago) realized she was bisexual and left because she didn't feel right running a lesbian sub.

Later, a few more mods left and formed r/lesbianactually instead (5 years ago).

r/actuallesbians was rudderless at times, for a brief moment a straight dude was in charge by accident because he had helped them with coding and when r/lesbianactually team left he was inadvertently put in charge by order of age/seniority.

He left too, and it's current head mod Mollysomething took over. Pretty sure she's actually a woman but the second highest mod was trans and they dated for a while. The two of them were super heavy handed in modding based on personal feelings and created the culture it has now.

Freya-Freed is the user you're thinking of, the person Molly was dating. He left all his mod positions in 2020, and many others left during the Aimee/Ashton Challenor scandal in 2021. There was lots of shaking up in mod teams going on in 2020/2021 across the LGBTQWTF+ Reddit subs, LOL

I used RES to tag the current mod team of r/actuallesbians. Fun fact, there are only 2 actual lesbians on the team:

For historical purposes, here's the mod team from late 2019:

The one "unknown/other" from 2019 is FTM and either bi or hetero, and I didn't feel like making an entirely new category for that.

That's two more than I thought, actually.

They have to keep at least 1 so real lesbians can't say there aren't any.

The 2 who are still there haven't been active on Reddit for a year. The 3 "unknowns" haven't been active for several years. The reason they are tagged "unknown" is because they haven't revealed anything definitive showing they are actually female homosexuals.

Personally, I think my lesbian sisters should be doing exactly what I am. Tag and document it, and share it to anyone and everyone willing to listen. I'm not on most social media, but I'll help you all research - me and WV/NutterButter archive all the controversial things we come across and trade notes, and I love a good investigation.

I mean, even just as a basis, ignoring gender identity woo-woo ... why is a bisexual the lead mod of a lesbian sub? And why are the majority remaining mods MTF?

gays colonized by straights that are trying to look like us, makes me think of the movie "Get Out" by Jordan Peele

"What bothers me is the assumption that a guy has to be at least a little bi to wanna be with a trans man. I find that invalidating. It invalidates my gender and it invalidates the sexuality of gay men who are into trans men. Like, I can totally understand liking dick. I love dick! Dick is great. I wish I had one. If someone who wouldn't date a trans man because of the lack of a dick also wouldn't date a cis man who'd lost his dick in a car accident, that seems fine to me. I mean, if dick is that important to you, fine, you do you. I'm not gonna call you a transphobe for that. But the whole "I wouldn't wanna be with a trans man because I am 100% homosexual" definitely implies that whoever said it doesn't see trans men as men."

I swear to God... Even the dude trying to talk about how most of people aren't fully het or homo is so off-topic. Like it will change anything in the debate. Dude just leave people have their spaces and date whoever the fuck they want to date. I don't even know what to say anymore. Why everything is so complicated when it's just about basic sexual attraction. You don't have to comfort to a "gender-role" so you can be "valid" you can just be you whitout all those labels and bullshit... I don't get it... Wtf are they trying to accomplish by destroying the meaning of words. Because if you bend them that much, they won't validate you anymore either sweetheart. This is a nightmare...

I love askgaybros! Most men are simple and know what they want and what they don’t want. Imagine struggling to come out and live openly only for some woman to ask why you won’t sleep with her. LMFAO!
