This is 100% satire. Clues include:

  • The correspondent's name is Benjamin Buttergasp, a thinly veiled allusion to Benjamin Butterworth, a real British journalist and certified train wreck.

  • The Highways Agency has pronouns (it doesn't).

  • Owen Hardcorn is an allusion to Owen Hurcum, the (not Welsh!) mayor of Bangor and another certified omnishambles.

  • Stonewall does not have its own member of parliament yet but please let's not give the Boundary Commission any ideas.

Of course. That’s why I flaired it as humour. But it’s almost ridiculous enough to be true in the current climate, which is why so many people have bought it.
