I think it has to be satire because the gay pride flag is the tiny base strip of the cone. If it was real, everything would be the trans flag.

It's a joke. "Owen Hardcorn" is a reference to Owen Hurcum the mayor of Bangor. You might remember him from his inanity on the Nolan Investigates Stonewall podcast. "Cashcock" is Lord Cashman, a TRA known for his constant repetition of the phrase "Together. Only together". The Greggs manager is a reference to Paisley.

I would drive right over those cones cause they blend in with the road. Do queer theorists not believe in color contrast and the variable visibility of objects? They seem intent on fucking with safety measures for just one more propaganda tool.

Edit: other are saying its satire. I sincerely hope so…

This is 100% satire. Clues include:

  • The correspondent's name is Benjamin Buttergasp, a thinly veiled allusion to Benjamin Butterworth, a real British journalist and certified train wreck.

  • The Highways Agency has pronouns (it doesn't).

  • Owen Hardcorn is an allusion to Owen Hurcum, the (not Welsh!) mayor of Bangor and another certified omnishambles.

  • Stonewall does not have its own member of parliament yet but please let's not give the Boundary Commission any ideas.

Of course. That’s why I flaired it as humour. But it’s almost ridiculous enough to be true in the current climate, which is why so many people have bought it.
