Yk I kinda am but not for the reasons they think.

I often feel not like other lesbians. I'm not a gay disaster, or a hopeless romantic. I don't conform to any lesbian stereotypes in clothing. When I was talking to my lesbian friend about how I'm not a relationship kind of person and I'm mostly looking for fun I thought to myself "I'm just another straight girl to her" one time I joked about how I don't get the "gay people walk fast" joke bcs I'm so fucking slow and she said "maybe you're not gay" like what??

When did a requirement for being a lesbian become anything other than being attracted to (only) women?

Not to mention not buying into their bullshit gender ideology.

I realize this sounds cringey and I know probably other lesbians feel the same but it is how I often feel surrounded by media (and irl "queer" ppl) who constantly condone those harmful stereotypes. I'm just a normal fucking person who likes women. Nothing to it.

And that's all it should take. Not fashion, not personality, not walking speed, not hobbies, not anything else. Just a woman loving other women. Don't feel bad.
