Not sure how many of you are still on Reddit, but if you are ...

Reddit is updating site behavior on blocking users. If you block someone (or they block you), neither of you will be able to see each other's profiles or activity. The only exception will be for moderator activity. Mods can still see any comments/posts you make in their subs, and users will still see mod-distinguished (green) comments/posts.

The updates are in-progress but not yet complete. I just blocked my own test account to see what happens. My test account could still see me, but I couldn't see my test account. If I went to a direct link to content my test account posted, there was notification it was a blocked user on the post and an option to click-to-view the content. But comments my test account made (and all comments under it) already display as deleted/removed until I un-blocked.

So anyway, if you're still active on Reddit, true user or troll ... block these accounts:

Those are widely-used mod bots that auto-ban you from SUB-A due to your activity in SUB-B. Once the full block behavior rolls out, they won't be able to auto-ban you since they can't see what you're doing elsewhere ;) Mods can also set up their own independent bots that report to them offsite of course, which some absolutely do ... but those 2 bots are very commonly used across hundreds of large subs.

If you ARE NOT a mod and just a regular user, another bot you may want to consider blocking is: https://old.reddit.com/user/sub_mentions

What that one does is look for mention of sub names all across Reddit, and then emails ModMail so mods are alerted that their sub is being discussed. We used to use that bot (among other things) to stay on top of brigades coming from others.

EDIT: if you block nathan131412 as suggested below, you will disrupt the ability of an archiving site to memorialize and provide evidence. I'm sure the archiving site will work around it eventually, but remember, your anonymous internet privacy also means no more proof of what the group goes through publicly. It's your choice and you should do what is best for you, but I want you to have all the information and nuances when you make a decision.
