My sister told me I was an asshole on Christmas Day. When directly asked about it, I said I wasn’t putting my pronouns in my email signature because I had complete confidence that people see a name used exclusively for women for over 2,000 years and understand I’m a woman. Apparently, I need to support “inclusivity” even if there’s no clear definition of it or any explanation as to why adding pronouns to signatures helps trans people.

That is rude of her. Glad you're not doing that. I feel like the whole "pronouns in email signature" thing is the prototypical example of virtue signaling... where's the evidence that that actually helps trans people?

My workplace has some people doing it and there's started to be some pressure for people to do it. Ugh..
