Turns out "living your truth" involves forcing everyone around you to accept your truth as their own.

Living your truth by killing the dreams of hard-working female athletes with your unfair physical advantages. HRC is such a scam and disgrace. What does this have to do with human rights, at all? No, it's not a human right for males to thrash women in sports by sheer brute force. Sick. Someone on Twitter noted that HRC's post on Facebook was so flooded with comments saying "Uh, this is really unfair to women, actually" they deleted the post. And while I'm glad to see then getting similarly ratio'd on Twitter, Twitter does this annoying thing they do when there's a controversial thread where the T side looks bad: you have to click "See More" every 4 or 5 reply tweets, so you don't see endless negative comments. It's really sneaky. Yeah, they're so oppressed.

The worst part of this is the number of LGB People who absolutely do not comprehend what's being wrought in our names. They are the proverbial frogs being slowly brought to the boil.

Things that jumped out at me:

  1. Note the phrase they used: "Living your truth"-- that's a fine example of postmodernist beliefs. They are ignoring the objective reality that this is a man who is competing in women's sports.

  2. I worry about the general public associating LGB people with this insanity. We are being forced teamed.

“Living your truth” is just a woke way of saying “alternative facts.” Change my mind.

I’m really glad you posted this though because this is the thing LGB people can’t be silent on. It is such epic TQ+ craziness that everyone sees through. It is fundamentally unfair to half the population and has the potential to set the clock back on our lives by a decade or more.

I saw someone say exactly that on Twitter and can't agree more. I'm not going to say there isn't such a thing as "my truth" only "the truth", because there are incidents where two or more sides are telling their honest version of how they perceived an event, without those versions lining up fully.

This is not one of those incidents, I don't care if "your truth" is that you feel you should get to compete against women, because THE truth is that you were born a male, went through puberty as a male & even competed as a male. The first fact alone should disqualify you from ever competing in women's sports. And there's all the more damage being caused here, when charities which used to heavily focus on gay rights champion this shit. Because to the layman there's no difference between the LGB & TQ+, especially when it's being peddled by organisations like HRC or Stonewall

Perhaps a useful way to think about those times when two or more accounts of the same experience honestly and genuinely don't align is by recognizing that my perception of the truth may be different from yours, and that neither my perception nor yours need be definitive.

I always said it similar to the person above me. There's your story my story and somewhere in between Is the truth.

Wow, that's a really good observation. Lol. Both sides get mad when you say "Both sides do X," but it really is true, some human behaviors are just common across all political parties...

edit: Also yeah no problem!! It kills me to see LGBTQ+ organizations like HRC spouting off nonsense supposedly in the name of LGB people. Our demographic is being used as the battering ram for an extremist ideology that's trying to force its way into broader society.

Living your truth

It's a lie though. The truth is that he is a man. Lying to yourself and demanding that other people participate in that lie does not make the lie true, no matter how many people you coerce into participating in the lie.

They are similarly getting their clocks cleaned on a post about beginning conversations with your pronouns. People are not having it.

I'd be lying if I wasn't nervous about the full extent of any fallout. Gay people, by and large, seem to have thrown their hat in with gender.

Well, not all of us, that's why we're here :) and I think there are actually quite a few LGB people who are interested in dropping the T who don't know about our community here on saidit.
