it's time for us all to agree that it sucks to reduce people down to their junk.

That's not what's happening. People are attracted to the whole person, including their secondary and primary sexual characteristics. A gay man saying a dick is a requirement is not him saying all he wants is a dick.

The only ones reducing people down to their genitals here is the trans lobby that insists a man having his dick inverted or a woman having her arm skin sewn into a flesh sock magically makes them the opposite sex.

Deranged real estate agent: How about this property? It has two rooms and one bathroom.

Homebuyer: Sorry, but two bathrooms is a prerequisite.

Deranged real estate agent: wow ummm sweaty like heckin yikes??? why are you reducing homes to bathrooms?????? this is so gross and problematic :/// homes are homes and they are all valid. DO BETTER.

This is what I'm looking for and I think I can afford it: at least 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, a Great Room, an entertainment room, a 3-car garage and at least 5 wooded acres.

But identify as exactly this!! How dare you insinuate that I'm really a cardboard box in a favela! Why won't you pay $2M for me!?!

People are attracted to the whole person, including their secondary and primary sexual characteristics.

Been saying this for a while. Attraction is holistic, and it's not just physical. It also includes perceptions of the other person's current and potential future mental health.

[–]MBMayfair 19 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 0 fun20 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Holistic is a good word for it. Somebody's past also figures into attraction for me, too. I'm not attracted to people who haven't had the experience of growing up female. (And MtF's bullshit line of "but we experienced things as female even though we were perceived as male!" doesn't cut it, either.)

Hole-istic

No no no, after that read, I cannot with this pun, intended or not

I'm not attracted to people who haven't had the experience of growing up female.

Holy cod, that's one thing MtF or even men don't get.

I've met women from all backgrounds, countries, cultures, and we all share the same bitter experience of being sexualized PRE PUBERTY and beginning puberty.

I've never met a woman who enjoyed grown men catcalling her when she was 11 years old.

My favorite part of this is still how she walks into a gay bar, people look at her, no one makes a pass at her or even seems to talk to her, and she decides they all want to fuck her.

Is that...a mullet? Are those a thing again? Please say no.

But yeah, that is a very...ordinary looking person. Not fugly, but certainly not "make heads swing at the bar" either. I've often wondered how trans-identified people get their confidence, particularly MtFs who post endless selfies with captions like "looking super cute today, thought I'd share!". I know, I know: delusion. It all comes down to delusion. But also a total lack of being able to read the fucking room. The woman who wrote this article seems to misconstrue people merely glancing at the person who just walked into the bar with unbridled lust. It just blows my mind, honestly.

It 100% seems to be an inability to distinguish the differences between (1) observing, (2) looking with interest, (3) looking with confusion, and (4) looking with disgust.

She’s automatically assigning Meaning 2 to everything without considering that most of how anyone is seen in any space is Meaning 1 and without even considering Meanings 3 and 4 as possibilities.

Tbh, it seems like so much of the trans community is either so wrapped up in themselves or so oblivious to social cues that they do this a lot. It reminds me of the time a badly-passing transbian showed up at a lesbian night and thought we were all lusting after him. He couldn’t tell that every woman in the bar was skeeved out and looking at him with disdain.

Can’t speak for elsewhere but mullets are very much all the rage here down under. One prays it’s as short lived a fad as hipster beards.

Ugh. I read this in November but annoyed all over again, lol. What an entitled little asshole this deluded chick is, calling gay men "fags". They always have this homophobic hostility, they love the slurs. Because no gay man wants to fuck them, and they want to make it a civil rights outrage. Bwaha, suffer, you dumb bitch. These sorts are also fantasists, I hear slash fiction and yaoi is a thing with girls, writing fiction around gay make characters. Romantic stories that get crushed on immediate contact with the real world, lol. 'The fags at the bar all hornily eyed me their eyes burning with lust for my hotness". Yeah, that happened. Well, they are attracted to PRICKS!
The Stranger really sucks so badly, it makes Seattle seem like Woke fucking Hell, filled with nightmare people like this loon. The Stranger was where Katie Herzog wrote a piece that was deemed twansphobic and she was nearly literally hounded out of town. So I guess they're tripling down on their editorial devotion to the Church of Trans.

It's not time. I don't agree. Please call me a man due to me being biologically male.

I agree, let's stop calling people "vagina-havers", "bleeders", "menstruators", "penis-havers", "ejaculators", etc. and go back to using "woman", "female", "man", "male". Reducing people to their junk/bodily functions sure does suck.

You know what? IDGAF. My boundaries are not negotiable, end of story.

Good luck on your journey as "an active polyamorous slut", hope it brings you fulfillment.

I've seen this article posted somewhere before. Most of these seem to be written by people who fundamentally don't comprehend how attraction works. Their oddball arguments make sense to them simply because they don't get it.

    [–]emptiedriver 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

It might have been here a little while back... Unbelievable just how clueless people can be. It is hard to tell if they are living in fantasy or if people are indulging them for the moment or what exactly is going on, but it's hard to imagine that this is a long term plan. It's mostly sad to me just how much lack of bodily self awareness she has.

I want to be delicate about it because we have a person with autism on here, but given the unusually high degree of autism under the trans umbrella, I have a gut feeling that it's related. I have a friend with Asperger's, I've been through many frustrating situations with him where he has reasoned out human behavior and emotions -- and gotten it all wrong. It all makes sense to him, and he can't understand why I listen to his theory of why Person X behaves in a certain way and immediately know he's completely wrong.

None of them respond to me. Why?

If only there were another group of males out there who were obsessively, fanatically attracted to your...ahem, "hole".

It's not because I am not attractive—they're attracted to me on the surface.

Because your "manhood" is a facade, you revolting, self-indulgent fuck

    It's because I am trans

    No, it's because you're female. Boo-hoo.

Delve into an unexplored space of expansion! My hole will thank you for it ;)

How bout leaving gay men the hell alone? Their dicks will thank you for it (though decidedly NOT in the way you're hoping).

I've been an active polyamorous slut for the better half of my adulthood. I came out when I was 20, first as a high femme, then as a butch/genderqueer person, and now as a guy who lives in a space I call ~fruity manhood~. Throughout all of this, I've dated folks of many, many genders. Cis, trans, non-binary, etcetera.

It's winter 2020. We are mid-pandemic, and I am one of the chosen queers attempting to find love by dating via FaceTime, masked walks, and intricate pre-makeout pod discussions. I sit on a bench with a cis, white, queer, femme woman at Volunteer Park. We'll call her Kate.

The fucking ludicris nonsense words they rattle off are such a cringe inducing attempt at sounding smart. They are so terrified of sounding stupid, they just make words up.

    [–]HelloMomo 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

so kate says she's a lesbian, and the author introduces her as "queer"? what is the gross disrespect of identity? aren't they supposed to care about that?

    [–][deleted] 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

"Cis queer people have a problem with genitals."

this is so homophobic and i don't even understand how they do not notice that's the case.
