The overwhelming majority of transgender people identify themselves as being lesbians/gay/bi etc., some estimates are as low as only 15% for those who identify as straight.

It's definitely an interesting phenomenon. Since sexuality has been shown to be linked to certain hormonal patterns during development, I have wondered if similar conditions can impact how gender identity forms, since that would explain why there's so much overlap.

Funny how the distribution of who trans people are attracted to is more consistent with the distribution of who "cis" people of the same sex are attracted to. In 2021, FtMs are overwhelmingly attracted to men, just like women are. MtFs are overwhelmingly attracted to women, just like men are. Shocker. Yet where were any of these "gay" trans people in the history of the gay rights movement? And where are they outside of the west where there is at least some semblance of gay rights? They should do a geographic analysis of where these "straight" versus "gay" trans people are located in the world.

Has anyone else noticed how much other trans men (FtMs) will question the validity of the transness of gay trans men (fujoshis)? I feel like FTM subs get posts like that once a week. I never know if they’re genuinely concerned about “transtrenders” or if they’re trying to find others with the same opinion without necessarily getting banned or something. And I’m also weirded out by the amount of straight trans men (lesbians) complaining that they can’t find other straight trans men (lesbians)? There are certainly more of us that are straight (gay) than gay (straight). Idk, it just seems like some of these guys (lesbians on hormones) are homophobic (specifically to us) (specifically to themselves because they can't admit to being lesbians and don't understand why you would need to transition since you were already heterosexual) and won’t own up to it (transitioning into homosexuality threatens their need to transition to avoid their own homophobia). I feel scared to reach out to trans men (FtMs) IRL because I don’t want to hear that kinda shit, not from guys (women) who are trans like me (homophobic lesbians as opposed to autoandrophiles like me). Mini rant over.

The actual quantity of brain power it takes to understand these people is ridiculous.

Would love to see actual statistics on this, not just anecdotes. I wish sex researchers who study AGP would even consider the possibility of AAP existing... but noooo, women are too "pure" to have fetishes...

I couldn't help laughing out loud reading this. Straight woman accuses gay women with internalized homophobia of being homophobic towards the straight woman. What an irony of ironies. It truly feels like the world is one cosmic joke sometimes.

Lots of good comments - it all boils down to internalized homophobia and transphobia that dudes don't check themselves on.

"We're all DUDES here, okay? Dudes!" If people's sex were determined on the basis of how often they say "dude," then I would be the manliest man of all men.
