In today's episode of "people don't pay attention to what politicians are doing until they pass some dumb ass law."

Does anyone have any intel on the Gay Men's Network cited? Who are they? Is this a new group? I'm glad gay people are being credited as those who are vocally concerned about bans on gender identity "conversion therapy."

It's more a loosely held together group of GC gay men more than an actual organisation from what I can see, but they sent a letter to the government outlining their issues. Dennis Kavanagh is one of the more public faces, he does legal commentary for the Lesbian & Gay News, I believe Alexander Bramham is involved too, he's the guy who got escorted out of Manchester Pride and comes from a legal background too

Thank you! As a fellow lawyer, I appreciate Dennis Kavanaugh's legal commentary. He is a gem.

After a huge backlash from parents and teachers, they are looking at delaying plans that could criminalise those who want to prevent children from changing gender.

They will press ahead with moves to ban conversion therapy designed to turn gay people straight.

This is awesome news!
