I find it terrifying they try to normalize this thought process.

NO SENSE. It is so completely bonkers that this goes unquestioned, unchallenged, and normalized. They have been completely assimilated to the Borg.

But then they'll say in the same breath that straight women should become males because they like men "in a gay way."

Haven't heard that one yet but I'm not surprised.

I legitimately do not understand what the author of the graphic is arguing. Seems like he or she is saying that if you're born female and also attracted to females you're a transperson? I thought that simply made you a lesbian.

What am I missing?

This is the new talking point: gay people aren't real, we're really just trans people in denial.

This is their answer to our criticism that they are transing gay kids.

Oof. Thank you for helping me understand.

Gender role rules, I think. Or, rather, you're dismissing them automatically, as everyone should-- because these rules are so manifestly stupid.

According to gender roles (aka sex stereotypes), only males can be female-attracted, and vice-versa. So female-attracted people MUST be male. It's reasoning on a preschool level. Or, these days, an Iran/trans one, apparently. Kind of cute when little kids think this way (because they're powerless, and naturally don't know any better); but when otherwise-intelligent adults do, in vast numbers? Fuckin' terrifying.

Thank you for the insight. It truly would be almost endearing if it wasn't so invidious.

I would love to know how widespread this idea is, how popular it actually is. I've seen it in several places but I'm not sure how fringe it is.
