You don't have to look any further than the acceptance of this term and others such as "vulva owners" and the like, overwhelming acceptance by the trans community especially among trans men/ masc presenting afab people.

So, theirs is the only opinion that matter? Women don't get a say in it at all?

That comment sickened me as well - their arrogance is astounding. And thank God my OB/GYN has never tried using any of this bullshit terminology with me.

My gyn just asks "are you sexually active?" And then she says "with males or females?" None of the gendercrap. Although it's in a gentrifying neighborhood so I wouldn't be surprised if I come back next visit and they ask about vulva people

I hate that terminology. You ARE your body, I’m not a penis owner, my genitals are me, just like my arms and legs are me, they make it sound like we’re lego people and can just swap out parts.

I can never get over the fact that the people who whine constantly about how terrible "reducing people to their genitals/bodily functions" is are the same people trying to replace neutral terms like "women" and "female" with dehumanizing terms like "vulva owner" and "people who menstruate". No self-awareness in the slightest. 🙄🙄🙄

It's totally hostile to women and it's a psychotic wish based in a kink and fetish to want to appropriate these things. Every sane person, even children (depending on age of course) know that pregnancy and menstruation are distinctly female things that only women experience. These perverts want to make it about themselves, again. Dismal excuses for human beings. Failed men.

I had an appointment where they asked me if my partner was "penis bearing or vagina bearing" and I think that wording is just spectacular.

progress

I don't know what I would respond in that situation.

I’d say “he’s a real man”

I'd keep saying "she's a woman" and not play along. If they ask if she's a woman with a penis I'll act confused saying I didn't know women can have penises

I actually don't have a problem with medical stuff changing the words "woman" and "man" to "female" and "male," respectively. I think that's literally the most inclusive they need to be. If you are a trans man and delusional enough to think that you're not still female, well that's your problem.
