The complete lack of awareness in this comment by a transbian:

There's a cruel irony in a heterosexual man associating rainbow symbolism with his power fantasy of dominating lesbians. He can think he's being an ally, even though this is obviously a misogynistic and homophobic fantasy.

My perspective on lesbian pornography as a trans woman: I don't think I was ever like this, prior to my transition. I watched plenty of lesbian porn, but my fantasy role was a woman's role, and I didn't like it when male characters were present, especially if they were powerful and dominant. It's usually a frustrating thing, when searching for porn: by the "lesbian" tag, I mean without men and not for men. So much art is wasted on the male gaze, as if half of humanity doesn't matter.

I mean, this is why the word "projection" exists. Narcissists are god tier at projection to the point that it almost comes across as beautiful and pure. They are some of the easiest people to understand once you realize how they operate. They're like the supervillains explaining their master plan to the hero. Except they put "not" and "other people" in front of their inner monologues instead of twirling their mustaches.

“I didn’t watch lesbian porn like those straight guys. I just watched it as a straight male and fantasized about being a woman…which is totally not AGP or anything.”

I watched plenty of lesbian porn

Say no more, you are also a coomer...

It's been a while since I've ventured into r/actuallesbians but my god it is even more transbian than I remember. Almost every single user who has flair indicates they're trans and so many of the users without flair also bring up being trans because they can't help but make everything about them. Lots of mentions of "terfs" in the comments too and surprise, surprise it's by the transbians again there to remind any actual lesbians who may have mistakenly wandered in there that open female homosexuality is the one true cardinal sin not tolerated in r/actuallesbians.

There are more lesbians on the porn subreddit than the 'actual' Lesbians subreddit.

Both are completely inhospitable and generally repulsive to actual lesbians but at least those who frequent r/lesbians know what a woman is.

The cherry on the cake is that the non mentally ill but still fetishistic straight males would not allow MTFs in their lesbian porn.. haha.. So, I guess you can say that an average lesbian would be safer in the porn space than in the space meant for her

I think all the actual lesbians have moved onto r/actuallylesbian

Which doesn't officially have a "no trans women" rule, but does effectively. I think that's the only thing stopping it from being banned by Reddit

I think you’re right about that exodus, but what makes you say that r/actuallylesbian effectively has a “no trans women” rule? The times I’ve been there I’ve seen a lot of “of course you’re a valid lesbian” to the transbians who comment.

ETA: Never mind. I see what you mean. It’s definitely evolved and become a bit more based though there’s still a lot of dancing around the elephant in the room in terms of language but of course those are the rules they have to abide by to survive on Reddit. I can imagine the only reason any actual lesbian is still on r/actuallesbians is because they don’t realize r/actuallylesbian exists. There’s no comparison. There’s actual discussion about the lives of lesbians on the latter (what a rare sight to see these days).

Yeah, a couple of months back there was a thread about what people thought the biggest problems facing the lesbian community were and almost every answer was "I think we all know. We're not allowed to say it, but we all know"

[–]ShotTopic 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They have trans members they just don't allow trans topics.

I'm pretty sure actually lesbian still got trans, because they're everywhere and also usual lesbian stereotypes. I really despise lesbian spaces. They give me bad chills, dunno why, also the entire gay world has always looked bs to me, with gay pride and such. I suppose I'm homosexual who hates the gay community, it was always a community filled with ridicolous streotypes, even before, the queer made it worst. The facts I belong to it, for no choice of mine, doesn't mean I need to like it

[–]Lesbons 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I have always felt the same way. Never really fit into any of the stereotypes, and even got picked on by other lesbians growing up for being different or not looking gay enough. Now it's grown into a mega monster though. I tend to avoid anyone who looks like the gay stereotypes now, they're nearly always overly sensitive and political.

Actuallesbians bwhaha that was one of the first places to ban me forever... Don't you mean actualdickhavers?

[–]Datachost 11 insightful - 6 fun11 insightful - 5 fun12 insightful - 6 fun -  (0 children)

Same with TwoX. Pretty sure none of their mods currently have two X chromosomes

They act as if they don't spend all day jacking off to that sub with the rest of the straight men.

[–][deleted] 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I'd respect TRAs a lot more if they were honest, but they aren't.. The comments by extremely non self-aware disgusting straight males on that thread goes to prove that snarts are human garbage. An honest enemy is still a 10000 times better than a hypocrite, hypocrites deserve to belong in the last circle of hell.

[–]yousaythosethingsFind and Replace "gatekeeping" with "having boundaries" 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I feel the same way about honesty and directness. It’s why I won’t repeat the mantras and play pretend.

TRAs and those defending them are so blatantly dishonest. That’s why I cannot stand the lesbians who dance around the fact that they are not attracted to trans women because they’re male and will play along and say things like “just because I’m attracted to women doesn’t mean I’m attracted to all women. I’m not attracted to blonde women, for example.” They are the ones who open the door to the cotton ceiling arguments and the arguments that they are not attracted to trans women because they’re trans. When they won’t admit to crybullies that they know they’re gay because they’re not attracted to members of the male sex regardless of identity but will agree that this is the case in private and also acknowledge that it’s taboo to admit to this in an LGBT space, while not conceding that it is a huge fucking problem if admitting that they are homosexual is considered taboo in LGBT spaces. Plus they’re also inviting the comparison to “racial preferences” that TRAs love to tout.

It bothers me they don’t have the ovaries and foresight even when guided to the natural conclusion to acknowledge how much they are throwing young and newly out lesbians and those figuring themselves out under the bus. Their lack of directness and willingness to lie because of nebulous notions of “being nice” (to whom? Certainly not to young lesbians) makes them both dangerous and difficult to respect.

I don't like porn., except for few realistic contents, still I would much rather watch a sub of naked real women engaging in sex acts, than a sub full of mentally ill males portraining lesbians as dick havers. The hetero dudes jerking off to lesbians are at least sane and not actually appropriating lesbian identity

[–]reluctant_commenter 7 insightful - 4 fun7 insightful - 3 fun8 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

A bunch of straight men steal the word "lesbian" from other straight men. How progressive.

[–]MarkJeffersonTight defenses and we draw the line 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

They're just pissed that there's no trans ever shown there. Every moment that place exists is a testament to their inability to pass. It's a thorn in their side that won't go away.

Anyway, that delusional thread is a barrel of laughs even when the overall state of the sub is just sad.

[–]lovelyspearmintLesbeing a lesbian 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The truth of the matter is that they wouldn't want to see trans in their lesbian porn anyway.

Is it possible to tell whether they have gender dysphoria or AGP?

[–]reluctant_commenter 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I mean, some have both. I've heard of cases where AGP actually led to gender dysphoria (as opposed to just plain AGP).

To answer your question-- I think the ones who indicate distress at their sex characteristics may actually have gender dysphoria, or at least it sounds like it. The men on r/actuallesbians often make posts about their dicks, and invariably, in the comments section there will be at least one or two somewhat-upvoted comments by transwomen that say, "I'm uncomfortable with the fact that I have a dick, can we not talk about dicks all the time?" If any of them have gender dysphoria, it's most likely to be these people.
