Wearing a hijab. Gee, if they're so queer and non-heteronormative, how do they know which one wears the hijab?

I think a lot of young women get manipulated into wearing Hijabs because it feels liberating to essentially announce to all the men around you that you aren't available for sex. It solves a problem most young women struggle to deal with.

Wow. I never even thought of that, that's a really good point.

Why are straight people so desperate to not be seen as straight?

Because they want to be quirky and special, so they take some random word with an LGB or Woke connotation and label themselves with that to make themselves seem more than just another straight person.

I think in the social climate today, people just want to be seen as "different". I'm with you on this as well & it's like living in the twilight zone, with so many heterosexuals not wanting to be seen as such.

In part this is the fallout from intersectionality. When people are demonized for belonging to immutable categories, it's understandable that they would want to distance themselves from those categories. It's not the most courageous response but I do understand it. And in part it is narcissism, especially with the more vocal virtue signalers.

Gatekeeping is good and necessary

She is in a hijab and is proudly queer? Sis what kind of mental illness is this? No wonder the LGBT+/Queer organisations have become Islamophiles, such delusion.

She should go be proudly queer in a Muslim country, see how fast she reverts back to heteronormative lol

Our vows were queer.

I don't even know what that means.

Our commitment to each other was not based on what a heteronormative society deems acceptable.

Then why did you get married? If your "queer commitment" is all that matters and affirmed you, then what's all this fuss about? Funny, I could swear that LG (and same-sex B) marriage rights were about legal equality, not about breaking down and tearing apart heterosexuality or what anyone else does.

We are not 'husband and wife'. 'Mr and Mrs' aren't going to be our titles.

I will sleep so much better at night knowing that a married man and woman won't use the terms "husband and wife". Life is so much better now that they aren't going by "Mr and Mrs". What an amazing influential change!

Queer as heck

Tell me you're young without revealing your age.

Yeah they go an do something that the queers see as the most heteronormative thing to do, get married.

What makes their relationship queer, anyways? How much you want to bet it's something along the lines of "Woman is main breadwinner, Man is a stay-at-home Husband"?

This actually kinda hurts to read. I wish so bad me and my partner's relationship was treated as uneventful and regular as fuck.

If this is what you think about right after getting married, then this is what you will think about right after getting married again.

Wait... they actually say heck? I thought that was a meme...

Are we sure these aren't troll accounts? We all know how conservative trolls love to play on Twitter. The 12 year queer relationship would have had to have begin in 2009, isn't that too early?

English is nog my native tongue but isn't Ms, as mentioned in her twitter handle, also gendered?
