We've been mentioned quite a bit on TumblrInAction and SocialJusticeInAction during the past few weeks, and with TiA likely to be banned soon, we'll probably see an influx as people realize we're still around.

Welcome everyone!

We operate in pretty much the same manner as we did on Reddit, except now we don't have to censor screenshots or remove sub links. Our rules were not created to appease Reddit Badmins - they were created to ensure we're representing LGB in an appropriate manner. So they carried over, despite our new home being more open and free-speech oriented.

SaidIt functionally acts like Reddit circa 2015, or "Old Reddit". But with a few quality-of-life improvements as devs can get to them. For example, Nightmode is built-in, and you can actually block/mute subs from your s/all feed.

Yep!

I'm glad they're coming to SaidIt along with setting up the .win community, I like to see more life being breathed into this site :)

I really feel like we should promote ourselves more. It’s exciting to get new people but it doesn’t seem to happen often.

We have 2 full time mods, who also have real lives outside of this sub. What extra outside promotion would you like us to do?

I don’t mean that it should be anyone’s job or anything like that. I just mean telling people we are here if we see someone who would seem interested. I DM some of the gender critical tumblr blogs I follow to tell them about this place. Just stuff like that.

I like to link people to the sub if it seems like they might be interested.

Yeah! Same. I don’t go on Reddit much and I don’t really know the rules of promoting other places. I want to tell people about this place to subs that might have people who would be interested but I don’t want to get banned for the suggestion.

I think that Saidit has rules that say that you can't be banned for something that isn't in the rules on the sidebar or Saidit's sitewide rules, so you should be fine.

Hi! I used to be a lurker on r/TiA because I apparently like to anger myself with stupid uwu shit. As I don't want to miss out, I went here and I also found you guys here.

I am a woman, straight, EU based, my fiance is a bisexual dude and we are both quite gendercritical and worried about (a large part of) the TQ+ with their fucked up rapey behaviour and weird 1950s genderroles. It's nice to read the discussions here.
