What do the mods honestly hope transwomen gain from this type of censorship? A complete disconnect from reality that’s going to crush them in the real world?

I think the hope is that if every lesbian community is overrun with people virtue signaling about how they would totally have sex with a trans woman and if you don't you're transphobic/evil then young lesbians entering those communities, many of whom already feel shame connected to their sexuality, will be willing to "at least try" sex with a trans woman. They don't care if this is traumatizing for young lesbians because they view lesbians as a porn category, and the more lesbians they get to have sex with them the more "validating" it is.

Yep, this is the one. It only makes no sense until you realize they are not sincere in their claims to want true love and companionship. Their goal is to isolate lesbians, make them feel alone and wrong and shameful so that they can be coerced into making themselves sexually available for the fulfillment of these men's fetishes. Some of them simply don't care about consent, and for others the lack of consent is the point.

Of course there are plenty of trans people who don't think this way and genuinely want real companionship and etc, but they aren't the ones doing this kind of thing.

I think you’re right in that it’s a narcissistic and fetishistic mindset that sees us as objects rather than human beings with our own wants. And, yeah, it reeks of the most toxic version male sexuality. (Use women to bolster your fragile ego! Who cares if it emotionally or physically hurts them?)

What they don’t seem to get is that we’ve had several thousands of years of experience with this creepy straight guy bullshit. And we still won’t stop being lesbians. They can try to make some teenage girls feel bad and they can try to bully a bunch of women into silence. At the end of the day, the transbians will still be the ones no one wants to dance with at the club. They’ll be the ones who get ghosted after the first date. They’ll still be the ones that we laugh about behind closed doors. Censoring a Reddit sub isn’t going to change that for these guys.
