Something that intrigues me ...

Why don't internet bloggers or journalists who are on our side talk about LGBDropTheT?

It's been interesting to me ever since I stumbled upon Clayton taking a stand and making the original r/DropTheT. He was our foundation, and where I, as the creator of this sub, came from. I see him as our roots and inspiration, and this space would be nothing without him.

Sue. You post here whenever you write, and we appreciate it because you're pretty much always on-topic and supportive. But you talk ~around~ our purpose and message, and never mention us. You don't actually participate in this sub other than posting your blog.

You mentioned the tiny little Reddit sub that one of our mods wasn't even active in, just held onto for the sole purpose of making sure gay men had a space. Less than 1K users. But you don't mention the greater space of 22K users r/LGBDropTheT had when it was banned, and our remaining and quite active 2K space here.

It's deliberate, so I ask you ... why? Just in case I'm still not clear - prove you're a part of our movement, and not just using us to boost your voice.

It really shows how much power the trans movement has over media when a very popular social media website is able to effectively ban all discussion of homosexuality without it being a huge news story. It's such blatant discrimination, but people are blinded by the "it's hatefuL' bullshit.

Hell, you can be right-wing and post on ‘r/conservative’, but ‘rightwinglgbt’ was banned. That’s right - Reddit thinks that LGBT people who might be right-wing shouldn’t have a platform, because it might ‘promote hate’.

This is insightful and I never quite thought of it this way. I was particularly butt-hurt about rwlbgt being dropped because I am somewhat right-of-center and it kind of pisses me off that my identity as such is erased.

There is an s/RightwingLGBT here on SaidIt.

Not very active, since I don't think the Reddit sub as a whole migrated or had a back-up plan ... but wouldn't hurt to start posting and helping it see more activity!

Thanks, I come here mostly for the social interaction. If nobody's there, no point in showing up.
