Except AGP will probably hate that ad because he's obviously a man, and you are not supposed to remind them that they look like that instead of the kawaii uguu anime fantasy in their head. I think this is more aimed at well meaning liberal 'cishet' people who get excited at the thought of transsexuals 'being true to themselves' because they don't know what that actually means.

It seems like some of them legitimately can't see the difference. It's like that brain disorder some people have where they can't see faces. They put on a ridiculous woman mask then post selfies acting like they really think no one can tell.

How many of those posts exist where you have a FtM outraged with a post like "HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT I LOOKED LIKE THIS AND AN ENTIRE KINDERGARTEN CLASS KEPT CALLING ME A MAN?!?!!" And you have a guy looking like that photo alongside the post

It's like the Dunning-Kruger effect. Like how every artist community has amateurs posting atrociously bad art and getting offended by critique because they are not good enough at what they're doing to see how much they suck.

It's sad but not surprising, given that they really really want to see something different in the mirror. Now and then it works, or they were able to afford enough surgery to force it to work, but a lot of the time it doesn't. Nature doesn't hand out that option with any consistency.

I went poking around for research about this, and can't say yet if any exists, but also came across this—I've only read the OP so far, but thought it might be interesting to share: https://www.reddit.com/r/honesttransgender/comments/mtl7nw/paradox_gender_transition_can_make_your_gender/

Apropos of nothing in particular, this is incredibly telling, from an FTM who does not pass:

the way society at large reacts to me, and the fact that I'm still seen and treated as some stupid fucking girl no matter what I do

Wonder who taught her that attitude toward herself. :-(

Last I knew L'oreal was one of the worst for animal testing, so I started boycotting them years ago. I don't know if they've changed on animal cruelty, but I'll continue my boycott.

Imagine if they lost ALL their female customers. Lucky for them there's libfems.

You mean the libfems who are more than likely buying overpriced from sephora?

Someone commented about their animal testing, and here's how they responded: "Hello Claire, we do not test our products on animals. L'Oréal has been reconstructing human skin models in laboratories to elaborate safety tests in vitro that don’t involve animals." What in the everloving fuck does that mean?!

reconstructing human skin models

At a loss for words. I have heard that ALL products sold in Communist China MUST be tested on animals. I think that means most companies have brought it back, even if they had briefly held off to make the PETA list.

Is L’Oreal Sold in China? Yes, L’Oreal sells its products in stores in mainland China under conditions where animal testing is still legally required.

Doesn't most of the land whale and alphabet community mostly use and insist on using whatever crap James Charles, Jeffree Starr, or what one of the Jenner/Kardashian trash is pedaling? Are cosmetic companies really this out of touch? Loreal listen to me your audience is broke white soccer moms slapping on a pop of powder before dropping the kids at school and going to work.

LMAO.

Honestly, I would love it if the whole beauty and fashion industrial complex crashed and burned.

Fucking shallow, cruel, sick industries. And yeah, I hate the Karsashians too.

What a bizarre makeup job they went with here. This is just deeply creepy.
