Yup. Or sensory issues - we all hate itchy clothing or really loud restaurants, Gayden. Autism is more than that. God, it irks me that they've so muddied the understanding of this just so they can feel special.

When everybody's autistic, no-one will be.

Yup and then if that happens the ones that truly need advanced care for their form of Autism may not get it which will really suck. BTW I honestly like you don't come out about being spectrum because like I said above the stigma then the differental treatment. You know the who nine yards. Can't forget to add the ability to treat you(collective in all my points) like you don't have validity when you speak. So many examples of that from my romantic and other relationships. The worst part will be for the ones that need advanced treatment from Care facilities.

Usually people self-diagnosing online remain just that, as if they would some kind of actual official diagnosis to receive advanced care, but the main issue is that self-diagnosers are usually some flavour of activist, so they speak over/for us about something they really don't have a clue about/aren't affected by at all.

Yup. Then the gas lighting and when we call them on that bull crap they lash and tell us we don't know anything when this is OUR day to day. Our parents or possibly ourselves spent years getting us a diagnosis so we could attempt to forge a life. But nope they need to feel special because of their narcissistic sociopathy because their parents and siblings didn't love them enough so we have to suffer their abuse. I'm tired of it. I'm also fed up for other reasons but I think that's better suited for a thread of my own.

Nope they don't and never will outside of well I read a few articles I was linked to from Wikipedia. You mean the encyclopedia anyone can edit, and fill with sources that may be years, or decades old that may have been proven ineffectual? That suddenly makes you able to diagnose yourself and "help"(Read cause more harm) others on the spectrum? That Wikipedia? If so we would like you to sit down and shut up kindly. Or we can help you.
