Is it becoming a thing for straight guys to pretend to be “gay” to sleep with transmen (and Im assuming quite a few of these “transmen” look very clearly female, maybe with like a “gender neutral” hair cut or some shit)? Or are these ladies just lying on the internet?

Because I know gay men aren’t actually sleeping with them.

Genuinely asking because these posts pop up a lot and I’m always so floored by the number of responses and I can’t tell if the commenters are full of shit or being played.

In certain social circles i wouldn't doubt it because of the weird inverted social pressure where people are now attacked for being "cishet".

I bring this up often here but i specifically know a guy that does the exact opposite. He is gay and pretends to be "nonbinary" so he can fuck closeted gay guys who can't cope with the social pressure of admitting they are gay. He reassures them that they are straight because he wears makeup and has long hair.

Every "gay" guy I know who sleeps with transmen calls himself queer but secretly recognizes that he is bi. Most people read these guys as gay because they are feminine. Both worked for their respective AIDS Networks as outreach workers. One of them now is pursuing a PhD.

There are bi guys who think they're gay but they also like highly masculine women and have a bunch of contradictions in their head like "oh it doesn't count", "it's even gayer that i'd want to be bullied and dominated by a woman" (because he "should" be dominating her like a "real man").

It's sad that these individuals are obviously going to these threads to cope with reality. They interact with other individuals in these threads, who suffer from mental illness & delusion as well. I know that "transition" help some who truly suffer from body dysmorphia, but I read that the majority are even more likely to sadly, fatally self harm themselves after "transition". These people really need mental help & not lies told to them. Despite that thread, this person will find out that gay men are not into vaginas & whining on Reddit, will not change that.
