Something I’ve been thinking about lately is the trans community’s determination to misuse the terms “misogyny” and “homophobia” until they are meaningless.

As far as misogyny goes, these are the TQ+ talking points I keep seeing come up:

  1. Gay men are misogynistic for not wanting to sleep with women
  2. Gay men are misogynistic for not wanting to sleep with men pretending to be women
  3. Lesbians are misogynistic for not wanting to sleep with men
  4. Everyone who questions the motives of heterosexual men who like to cross dress and harass lesbians is misogynistic
  5. Everyone who questions the motivations of record numbers of non-dysphoric straight women suddenly wanting to transition and harass gay men is misogynistic

And here are the points TQ+ continuously pushes with homophobia

  1. LGB people calling out homophobic rhetoric is homophobic
  2. Lesbians not wanting to sleep with men is homophobic
  3. Gay men not wanting to sleep with women is homophobic
  4. Bi people not wanting to sleep with people with mixed sex characteristics is homophobic
  5. LGB people not wanting to be called slurs is homophobic
  6. LGB people wanting our own spaces is homophobic
  7. LGB people talking about our sexual desires is homophobic
  8. LGB people wanting clear language to describe ourselves is homophobic
  9. LGB people who won’t pretend heterosexual sex is gay and/or that heterosexual couples are gay are homophobic

The complete inversion of language seems consciously designed to make us comply with actual misogyny and homophobia. It seems planned to silence and isolate us.

I was just wondering if anyone else has been thinking about this and if you guys had any thoughts about it.

I mean… They misuse pretty much every word they use.

It’s literally their MO- we say “That doesn’t make sense/That’s not what that word means”, they say “language evolves (to accommodate 1%🙄). That word means insert whatever is convenient for them now”. Seriously they say this, see any gcdebatesqt post for proof lol

They pretend they don’t understand how pronouns work, they conflate sex and gender constantly etc. This is just what they do.

I think they grasp at whatever buzzword they think closest fits the sentiment they want to get across. Just like they compare themselves to whatever community is most convenient for whatever argument they want to make (even when that community has repeatedly asked them not to make these comparisons). It’s not that they don’t know what the words mean or that they are misusing it- it’s that they know using the word (misogynistic/homophobic/transphobic…) at all is going to illicit a strong reaction and they bank on people not thinking too hard about it. When you make it impossible for anyone to call out how you misinterpret language you can pretty much say whatever the fuck pops into your head.

Because while 2+2=5 is ridiculous enough, that’s not even what they think.

They think 2+2=whatever any individual wants it to equal unless you think it can only equal 4 because math doesn’t care about your feelings.

(And no, they don’t see the flaws in that logic at all)

Tbf, this happened first with both racism (against whites) and sexism (against men)... a lot of white LGB folks definitely misuse racism even here lol so when I see you all complain about "transmisogyny" being used... I think "the pots calling the kettles black" lol

    The points you're making might have their place, but not in this thread, and only very gently in this sub. The user you're replying to already tried to split the community with race, lets not further it and derail the OP post. We're here for "Drop The T" and supporting LGB as a whole, not division and in-fighting.

    It goes far beyond that and even seeps into the gay community further: Gay "tops" are misogynistic for not wanting to have sex with a "bottom" who puts 20 lbs of make up on their face and acts like an idiot. Gay "tops" need to search within themselves to explore and purge their inner misogyny for not wanting to have sex with someone who goes "YAAAAS KWEEEEN SLAAAAY".

    Bottoms don't want this crap either. I know there is far less social pressure or contagion for tops to act out this way but some do like it and I just find it fake as with everyone that does it.

    I knew a guy who I found very attractive. He was top/vers and was by no means super masculine. He seemed to just largely ignore gender and acted as himself. Then he started into the whole nonbinary crap and it seems like a show for everyone else to look at. Buys into the gender bs and just seems super unattractive to me in personality and clothing. Thing is he gets lots of attention from closeted gay guys who get to live in a fantasy that they are straight because they get railed by a "non-man enby"

    What do you mean by "ignore[d] gender"? Just not caring about gender performance, like wearing both men's and women's clothes?

    I feel like we don't have a concrete definition of "gender" here. Originally it was just masculinity and femininity, but then we have to contend with both the trans and radical feminist versions. It just causes confusion. We should have a solid definition in the sidebar.

    Because there is such thing as psychological "gender" which is a pretty nebulous concept; all we really know is that homosexuals have more similar brains to the opposite sex and they and a small portion of bisexuals appear to be more masculine or feminine (depending on whether they're female or male, respectively).

    When I use gender I mean the actual definition as in the idea of the social caste system. I realize that the popular understanding of the word is usually different now. Most people use it as a "polite" way to say "sex" which is incorrect and the TRAs are equally incorrect when they use it to refer to their magical brainsex BS.

    See, you consider your definition to be the "actual" definition when it's the radical feminist one. It refers to masculinity and femininity (for example, the gender of a noun in a Romance language). But you consider it to be a hierarchy where masculine is above feminine, correct?

    You're not accounting for the biological aspects. I guess you're going to tell me now that all psychological and behavioral differences between men and women are purely due to socialization? And the fact that prehomosexual (children who will grow up to be homosexual; pedantic because children don't have a sexual orientation) children are identified by a propensity towards cross-sex behaviors is what, socialization too??

    "Brainsex" is reductive, inaccurate, and homophobic. But the fact remains than men and women have different average brain structures, and homosexuals tend to have brains that are more similar to the opposite sex. It doesn't mean that women are biologically wired to be in the kitchen and it doesn't mean homosexuals should be surgically altered at the expense of their health, well-being, and capacity for sexual pleasure to look more like the sex that typically has their gender, it just means that there are some psychological and behavioral differences between masculine people and feminine people and it's obvious in the real world.

    And of course there are exceptions, but I'm speaking generally. This is the root of transgenderism and denying it isn't getting us anywhere. Homosexuals believing as young children (before ever feeling sexual urges) that they're a member of the opposite sex "trapped" in their bodies is a key tenet of their ideology.

    Which isn't to say that nearly every single culture in the world doesn't prioritize men over women, and masculinity over femininity. That's patriarchy and it's real and a serious problem. But the solution isn't denial.

    This is a wall of text so I'll only reply to small chunks.

    No that is not the radical feminist definition of gender. It's rooted in second wave feminism which adopted the term from... I believe John Money. It's a combination of bimodal sex characteristics and binary social characteristics. Radical feminists completely ignore the biological aspect of gender and insist it's purely a social construct which is why i am not a radfem.

    Edit to clarify. Gender is the social caste defined by the social expectations a specific society constructs around how each sex should participate in society. Things like "women should raise children" are highly biological where "women should wear pink" is purely social with zero biological reason.

    I understand that in nearly every society on Earth (and it's been this way since the beginning of written history), masculinity is prioritized over femininity, and since all men are assumed to be masculine and all women are assumed to be feminine, men are prioritized over women, but that's not the meaning of the word "gender", that's just gender dynamics socially and politically. Gender just refers to someone's state of being masculine or feminine, the way sex refers to someone's state of being either male or female.

    The complete inversion of language

    Inversion, or as another person said "deconstruction" (or to use Woke lingo "queering" -- puke!) is the goal of the Woke Cult.

    I've said this before and gotten mixed responses, and for the record I have never been Catholic and don't believe that sort of thing, BUT this is truly Satanic. "Satanism" (and I'm not going to argue over what is "real Satanism") is about inversion. That whole "say the Lord's Prayer backward" garbage.

    Everything the Woke Cult offers up is an inversion. Think of every sci-fi thing you've seen or read where the character somehow leaves this world and goes into Bizarro World and everything is the opposite. The Woke Cult is Bizarro World trying to break through to our side and take over.

    And you might dismiss me as "out there," but we have LAWS now stating that men are women if they just say so. LAWS. So I don't think I'm exaggerating anymore.
