A woman enters the culture of gay men, instead of her adapting to it. The culture has to adapt around her.

Most of the fanbase is overwhelmingly straight, white and female. These are the same femcels who say "straight white men are evil" (except for the ones who crossdress and identify as female) but engage in the most typical straight white male entitled behaviour in our spaces.

Stopped watching drag race earlier this year. The seasons are getting more and more ridiculous, especially how production literally carried FTM GOttMik in the American season. Ru has finally figured out that catering to the ideological needs of the fandom is more profitable than crowning deserving talent. And the fandom is just disgusting, it defends bad behaviour from black queens, regurgitates TRA nonsense and so on. RPDR fanbase has done a lot to peak me just as much as twitter TRAs.

Honestly I think Rupaul was just tired of all the shit he was getting for not being "inclusive" and all the shit from RPDR dragqueens the last few years. I think he went "fuck them ill just cash in" and he will retire soon.

Gottmik was so boring and sexist. Most of her outfits were leotards or nakedness.

I used to love it for the costumes they would make but its less sewing now and more acting like a bunch of entitled assholes. I can't even remember any of the cast of the last several seasons. The season with Bianca del Rio is the last one i remember several contestants of.

Agreed. 100000%. Ru was getting so much shit for being "not inclusive" and the entire BLM scenario last year changed his mindset and decided to go full woke PR on social medias

I've seen a lot of former RPDR guys giving him shit for all sorts of things that just sound petty as fuck. I think i missed the blm thing.

Ru got a lot of flak from the woque about not doing any performative activism during BLM riots, he chose to remain silent and not issue any official public statement personally (which I respect him for it tbh). Eventually the white women and gays who criticized him were themselves criticized for questioning a POC queer person. Ru and his producers pushed for more inclusive stuff on the show's social medias to cater to their fandom

Oh I see. Honestly i don't see why he should have put statements out. Plenty of people didn't. At his age i probably would not get involved with that either lol
