The Americanisation of Western Europe could be our downfall. Don’t get me wrong, I love America and most Americans are cool. Unfortunately, multinational corporations and special interest groups have set themselves up in America, used America as their base, subverted America’s institutions and now they are doing the same thing in European countries, especially Ireland, Germany and the UK. These American based multinational organisations have a lot of money, power and influence. Fortunately, a lot of Americans are aware of how dangerous these organisations are, because they have to put up with them directly, and a lot of these Americans are fighting back. Now Europeans need to do the same, and not just the British.

Anyway, this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I despise drag culture. I believe that drag culture is poisoning the gay community. What it brave about a grown man wearing make up, a dress and behaving in such an obnoxious manner? It’s not funny, it’s not sexy and it’s not dignified. And yet, for some reason, we have allowed drag queens to be the ambassadors of homosexuals to society. I am not okay with this. At all.

I disagree with you a bit. Drag has been an outlet for self-expression for effeminate gay men for a long time now. The OG queens like Divine subverted the homophobic social norms of his time and made a mockery of it, Divine was also immortalized as the inspiration behind Ursula the sea witch in the Disney movie. To a certain extend I agree that modern day commercialized drag culture is very over the top, but the point of drag is to be intentionally obnoxious.

I hear conservative gay men and radfems repeatedly say they want more gender non-conformity but when it comes to drag it usually boils down to "oh no not like that". I have seen the same logic applied by radfems to criticize femboys, "oh no he's appropriating our divine femininity". On the contrary, I have never seen a single man get offended by masculine women or butches, in fact many butch women can easily get away with emulating "toxic masculinity" in lesbian spaces. So why is it when men are feminine, then its a massive issue? (I think I have answered my question here) In my opinion, drag queens and femboys are still way better than deranged MTFs who seek to infiltrate women spaces.
