You know what? I don't need a 24 year-old lecturing me about a period of history that I lived through just because he thinks he knows about it because of a scene he's played in a movie.

you didn't have the language to process your experiences properly way back then. Now they have PHD's in queer.

"cis people need to uplift trans people". The gall. These people need to start contributing to the community they're parasites of. It's just hyper aggressive colonization.

When i was younger, i never really understand what the big deal of "playing around with history" was and i always roll my eyes at 1984 quotes. "he who controls the past controls the future" just seemed like incredibly annoying conservative hyperbole.

But in the link, this gay idiot was sat down by these people and had his own history explained to him. Apparently, trans people did everything and he should be ashamed of himself and "his people" because he benefitted from their work (you know, the great homeless crackhead marsha p johnson contributed the billions of dollars required for the gay civil rights movement). Also, harvey milk, who gave his life for the movement and was assassinated, doesnt count.

And this genuinely works. Now he's brainwashed. And he's here to shame all of us for benefitting from their imaginary activist efforts. I guess history is about debt, who owes who what, who's guilty and who's not. It's not just about events and actions but collective pride, collective guilt and collective debt.

Interesting point. Harvey Milk used to be synonymous with the gay rights movement. I can't remember the last time I heard anyone mention him. Guess as a "cis white gay," he's not useful to the woke/LGBTQ narrative anymore. Question for Gen Z: do you know who he is?

No. I owe nothing to mentally ill crossdressors. I have nothing in common with them and they have done nothing for me.

"As queer people, we need to know the shoulders that we stand on." 1) I'm not queer, I'm a lesbian. 2) I DO know the shoulders that I stand on, and it ain't those of transsexuals. Instead, I honor the Daughters of Bilitis, for starters. Die mad about it, Max.

No thank you.

Yes, we all need to worship and be grateful to AGP fetishists who only came (pun fully intended) to be in a widespread way in the last 5 years.

The gays and lesbian who have been out and active players since last century are nothing in comparison to the spinning skirt brigade!

I was thinking of writing a post about that film because it annoyed me so much, but one of the few saving graces is that trans are not mentioned at all, so I was wondering how they'll make it all about them.

I'd be curious to read it! What annoyed you about the film?

“Actor ‘throws down the gauntlet’ by asserting something we agree with without explaining himself!”

Yeah, there's no argument here. No reasoning. Just an opinion.
