It was really weird and random!

Like you said, honeybees and bumblebees aren't typically aggressive (unless they're aggravated and on the defense), and this came out of nowhere. I was just walking down the street and all of a sudden it happened.

I know it wasn't a yellow jacket, I'm very familiar with them. I don't think it was a wasp or hornet - I don't exactly research their different types, I only know what I've seen and they're usually slim and smooth, and this wasn't it.

Whatever that bright yellow fuzzy fucker was, I didn't recognize it, or what was left of it.

Honestly, it reminded me of Joltik. But maybe that's because I had Pokemon on the brain at the time.

I feel pretty glad that I never got stung before. Hope it never happens.

It's actually not the worst thing ever, as long as you don't have a bad reaction. I was fine as a kid when I was stung and/or bit. It was surprising and hurt, of course, but it was like a quick stabby poke and then it was over. Apparently my adult grown-up body is not so accommodating.
