That poor guy. Definitely is being manipulated by his "friend", and is blaming himself for it. He's young , and hasn't learned how to stand up for or believe in himself yet.

It seems to be that young people have been trained to believe that they are responsible for everyone else's feelings, and, as a result, they are no longer able to distinguish between someone feeling a bit down and someone being seriously mentally ill.

I increasingly believe that a lot of modern gender transition represents people avoiding dealing with their real problems. It's always easier to distract yourself.

To some extent they are responsible and that's the problem here. They are potentially partially responsible for future trans depression and suicide for humoring a psychologically troubled person and also the feelings of trauma, regret and self-loathing they themselves might have if they follow through with these affirmations of delusions and deny their own sexuality.
