Gentle reminder: fuck off. Women are going to die without access to safe abortions and this idiot only cares about “inclusive language “.

As awful as the banning of abortions is, I genuinely think the worst part is the language where they mandate the public to basically become bounty hunter vigilantes. It's wildly unethical to suggest a state (that now allows open carry of firearms without training or licensing requirements) should mandate its citizens now can harass each other. Every single woman who gets pregnant and has a miscarriage now is at direct risk of getting scrutinized and subjected to nuisance investigations and lawsuits by crazy idiot neighbors who want to get their hands on a $10,000 bounty. How many conspiracy theorists are going to feel emboldened by this to harass and attack women's health clinics providing reproductive services under the belief they're providing secret abortions? How many doctors and nurses will have lawsuits filed against them by people looking for any excuse to be able to make a quick buck?

We're essentially tossing ethics out the window and saying we want to emulate China's policies of having Americans spy on fellow Americans to make sure they're behaving correctly. While hostile, anti-choice stances on abortion are nothing new for the people who wistfully pray for America to become a theocracy, the idea that the state should sponsor individual citizens to become bounty hunters policing their neighbors' behavior is one of the most terrifying, openly fascist policies that has ever been enacted, and is a massive slippery slope. So long as these people are allowed to maintain power who the fuck knows what's next.
