Imagine going to jail for things you say on the internet. That’s reality over there.

It's probably easier for the cops to virtue signal and do a twitter search and say, look, we're cracking down on crime! Than to solve actual crimes, which takes effort to do. Pure insanity. Imagine if they tried this shit in America.

I heard that since Tony Blair was in office you had to have a college degree to become a police officer. Apparently, you don’t need to have a certain amount of physical strength or be capable to run fast in order to become a cop anymore.

I know some American police departments might require some amount of college credits in criminal justice, not all, but at the very least, you still have to pass a physical fitness test and be in good health physical and mental condition to work at any of them, is that not the same for the UK? I wonder what their academies are like there

I agree that cops should meet fitness requirements. I don’t know the laws in my country, but police officers in Ireland have to go to Garda College (Irish police academy) and pass it before they can become cops. I presume we have fitness and height requirements. But Irish cops have become more tyrannical since the pandemic started and they selectively enforce the COVID restrictions.
