I see it this way. Kisses CAN be meaningful and symbolic If it's with that special person BUT it can also be simply meaningless and fun. I wouldn't want to kiss a woman I had feelings for at a party because it wouldn't be meaningless with her BUT I'll gladly kiss a friend without anything behind it.

If a straight woman kissed her gay (man) bestie I doubt anyone would insist she has feelings for him or that anyone would try to invalidate his gayness. Yes I like women but that doesn't make me fall in love with every woman I kiss. But anyway, you do you and I'll do me.

I'm not gonna lie and I'm not trying to be a dick, but it sounds like bi in denial. Just my personal opinion

So you think if a person likes kissing someone but would never date, be actually attracted to or have sex with them is bi? I really don't get what's hard to comprehend about platonic kissing. Friends do it, even families do it, and ton of straight people do it. It. Doesn't. Mean. Anything. Just because it can with the right emotional connection it doesn't mean it always does.

How is it platonic when her reasoning as to why she wants to kiss them is "they're hot". "Hot" is not a word I'd use to describe my family members. And we're not talking about a peck on the cheek here. Do you really kiss your family members on the mouth and get some sort of non-sexual enjoyment out of it? That's revolting

I don't, but it's not uncommon. My point was that pecks can be of different natures. Whatever, I'm done, no one is making you kiss your friends if you don't want to but some people like it and I personally don't think it makes them bi.
