Brilliant idea. If you're on reddit I think you should consider posting there as well (r/SocialJusticeInAction maybe).

Great point!

Do you post much on Reddit? I've been thinking about making an account there to reach out to people who may have less information about the TQ+ movement. Stuff that we talk about here is valuable, we should share it on other platforms as well.

We got banned from reddit so id only mention this place in dms over there.

Oh, of course. I mean sharing links and stuff.

edit: For the record, I have heard of people getting banned from Reddit for trying to organize LGB groups in their DMs. Happened during the SuperStraight mini-movement.

No, I can't stomach it anymore. It's a creepy place and I got tired of walking on eggshells. I know that some people here still use reddit, though, and I'd encourage them to share stuff like this and/or promote this space, if they are comfortable doing so. I disagree with the poster who recommends only mentioning this sub in DMs. What is there to lose? (To be clear, you will be risking your account, but that's what burner accounts are for. And fwiw I used to promote saidit at every relevant opportunity and sometimes had my comments deleted, but no worse than that.)

I use reddit for things that have nothing to do with lgbt. Any LGBT related places makes me cringe, because is all about queers and trans. Only gaybros seems a sane place. The point with reddit is that is a source of countless topics, you can't hardly find something similar, which makes it hard to leave, despite the fascist politics. I have recommended this sub in the past.

True, there are some good apolitical subs there.

Understandable! It does seem like it requires one to walk on eggshells...

I disagree with the poster below who recommends only mentioning this sub in DMs. What is there to lose?

I think some people might be biased against the DropTheT movement from the outset, so I tend to like to link directly to evidence and then if people ask more, I'll tell them my views. Also it's possible that someone might see me on Reddit and get me banned just because I said I used to be in DropTheT. But otherwise I agree.

And fwiw I used to promote saidit at every relevant opportunity and sometimes had my comments deleted, but no worse than that.

Oh, really? Interesting, then maybe it is worth mentioning our sub here.

From what I've heard, some subs on Reddit have set up AutoMod to blacklist/remove any direct link to SaidIt. I don't comment much on the site anymore so I can't say for certain which subs though.

If you do name-drop, it's probably best to do it like "that group moved to SaidIt" or "LGBDTT is on SaidIt now" rather than linking directly to us with https://saidit.net/s/LGBDropTheT

Sounds good, thanks for the heads up!
