Tonight I wondered to my husband whether the problem is that the generation coming-of-age has never been given any hard limits. Everybody gets participation awards, and you can be anything and everything you want. Our generation, Gen-X, was given relatively precise parameters on being, if not behavior. ("When I was a boy men were men and women were women, straights were straights and gays were gays, we didn't have any of this transgender pansexual stuff... get off my lawn!")

On a side note, I also told him that I am now transvertical, I identify as a 6'5" individual, and he is now to look up whenever he speaks to me.

A fellow transvertircal. Its hard when people treat me as very short while I identify as an amazon. We should really make a law against transverticalphobic leading transvertical folks to suicide, by not recognize their truth vertical identity.
