I’m an overt transphobe. Feels good to be validated.

It totally does

I like how the most overt transphobia is "There are only 2 genders."

That's apparently the worst discrimination these people face. What privileged lives these people must lead if the worst they ever face is people insisting that biological reality is real.

Nature is transphobic, lol. Sexually dimorphic species existing makes them feel "unsafe", aw.

Despite clownfish and species of mold with more than two "sexes", people get uptight about lewdly flashing dick at little girls at the spa. Can you BELIEVE how transphobic that is?

You can tell a TRA wrote it, because supposed TERFs and transphobia argue that gender is a social construct, not that there are only two genders.

[–]hufflepuff-poet 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

There are billions of genders, they make up a new one (and associated flag merch) every godddamn day. There are only two sexes and only two genders that are actually part of the caste system of sex-based oppression; men and women, and maybe a third "gender" (reserved for homosexual or gender non-conforming men or priests/religious figures) in certain cultures.

If things keep going the way they are now--full steam ahead to gender woo-land, in a decade I could see non-binary being a legit "third gender" in some cultures. (At that point, I will want completely off this planet.)

The manipulation of language makes it so difficult to pushback on these ideas with normie friends who don't get the distinctions between sex and gender in TRA and GC ideas, so we wind up talking past each other.

And yes, as ever, having sex with them is a prime requirement to be a ~trans ally~

Ironically enough, they get all pikachu face when people just say fuck it to them and their cause. I wonder why this is happening with more frequency each passing second...

People aren't willing to sell out their soul to be a ~trans ally~, is not fucking worth it.

Not to mention that in order to be a good trans ally you have to be a pretty dedicated liar or good at denial(basically have to apologize for your tendency to critically think and question) So if you're a pretty honest person with a good grasp on reality prepare to become corrupted on your way to allyship. I mean, how many good associations/relationships basically start with the validating of illusions and deception? Answer: Only the ones with trans.

on the "indifferent" scale:

"There are bigger issues than trans people's "sex life"

YES, yes there are!

Imagine thinking this is important to your cause?

the gays already have so many rights

Transgender is not "the gays." Gay is a label that describes one's characteristic pattern of sexual attraction, which is not chosen; transgender is a label that describes a) one's belief in an ideology of "gender identity" and/or b) one's experience of gender dysphoria, which is not chosen. Those are separate phenomena and I'm sick of people using "gay" as an umbrella term for a million different other things than what it actually means.

edit: and I think many trans rights activists like to invoke and mis-apply the word "gay" because they are aware that some Western populations are much more accepting of same-sex attraction that it is of gender identity ideology... in a word, misappropriation, of the struggles of people who are actually attracted to the same sex.

People still think that most MtFs are HSTS, even though this isn't true anymore. I would say this is a factor that has prevented The Great Peakening (eh) from happening.

You know what? Whoever wrote this whole graphic is just a stone fucking idiot. ALL the little bullet points just suck, are dishonest, have no nuance.

Eventually the goalpost will be moved so much that it won't be enough to be a doormat ally to please them - it will be transphobic to not be trans.

I'm hanging out right at overt transphobia lmao.

[–]kwallio 23 insightful - 1 fun23 insightful - 0 fun24 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The scale doesn't read as a spectrum to me, more like interrelated positions. Anyway I'm on the overt transphobe end. I used to be more in the middle, sort of confused ally. Then I became more aware of what trans people actually are.

[–]Q-Continuum-kin 20 insightful - 6 fun20 insightful - 5 fun21 insightful - 6 fun -  (0 children)

I like how they themselves misrepresent sex as gender and then call that overt transphobia.

[–]PatsyStoneMaverique 20 insightful - 5 fun20 insightful - 4 fun21 insightful - 5 fun -  (1 child)

I can't not read t****y as titty.

It seems nigh impossible to reach allyship on this scale.

[–]filbs111 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

If you interpret the **** as surgery scars, you are a true ally.

Overt.

[–]emptiedriver 8 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

what a random assortment of different opinions. And pretty much none of them are the least bit discriminatory? Was the worst something like "they should be nicer"?

I'm on the "worst" possible end apparently simply for acknowledging how human reproduction works, but could move way up the scale if I decided to support them because "it's trendy"... hilarious. I guess it's revealing in its way.

[–]DropItLikeItsHot 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They're gaslighting about the bathroom thing, as usual. We know it's not "spying" you're after but rather getting off on your autogynephilia fetish by forcing strangers to validate your fetish. That shit's gross.

[–]powpowpowpow 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I'm overt lol

[–]Mermer 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Wow, imagine being so entitled you demand money or else calling people bad.

[–]MarkJeffersonTight defenses and we draw the line 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think I'm totally "Straight".... Transey 0

[–]filbs111 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Notice how the full compliance end of this "spectrum" has some very long sentences that wouldn't look out of place in a "the left can't meme" meme.

[–]SaltySkank 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

lmaoooo shit. Guess I'm chiling with the rest of the "overt transphobes" over in the acknowledging that humans are a sexually dimorphic species reality.

Sidenote though.. anyone else kind of freaked out by how straight up cultish the extreme other end of the scale is? GIVE ME ALL YOUR MONEY FOR MY MUTILIATION SURGERY / BE A MEAT SHIELD FOR ME and I will bless you with the title of "ally". No thanks, I'm good.

[–]Neo_Shadow_LurkerPronouns: I/Don't/Care[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It isn't worth it.

Too much effort for little payoff.

I don't recognize this framing to start with. So I guess I'm off the scale.

[–]ImSuperCerial 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Straight dude here: the "there are bigger issues in the world" otherwise known as "idgaf" is where i land.
