People like to say the truscum are the reasonable ones, but that comment section is an absolute shitshow. They don't know what a lesbian is anymore than the tucutes do.

Reddit and YouTube helped a lot to peak truscum™ me. They're every bit as irrational and homophobic as tucutes, they just know how to behave themselves better in public.

The sad reality is pandering to the "truscum" is an open invitation to all the other crazies we deal with. The entire movement is founded on the reality denialism that you can become something you're not, so allowing even "reasonable" trans is a slippery slope to more and more "unreasonable" demands. They're all on the sliding scale of crazy.

Well just look at rule number one on r/truscum:

  1. Absolutely no transphobia, including intentional misgendering Transphobia includes but is not limited to: referring to trans women as men or vice versa, fetishization of trans people, the claim that being transgender is a choice, saying nonbinary people are delusional or not real (individually). We don't support TERFs, far right/religious extremist transphobes, or transphobes with /any/ reason behind their transphobia, no matter the excuse. On misgendering: whether or not you believe somebody is trans, do not misgender them. Using neutral pronouns is OK.

Truscum are just as big on the "Terf" witch hunting and TWAW crap. People like to blame tucutes for the state of trans activism but really, tucutes are just trenders building on the foundation that truscum/transmedicalists/"old school transsexuals" already laid down.

Seeing this I can only share my annoyance at how also "asexuality" is being expanded and getting basically umbrella meaning what I also find infuriating. It's welcome to people who never felt even slight sexual attraction and were never interested in sex in the process but also to your like married middle-age white women with kids who have never questioned themselves to be anything but straight yet they suddenly find they can be "queer" by claiming demisexual heteroromantic identity. Ever since I came across this asexuality spectrum concept I felt infuriated. It was many years ago. I thought it was unique to asexual community. But now I see this whole nullification of meaningful terms happens to basically every identity within the LGBT+ acronym so that EVERYONE can be uwu queer. And I found it amusing to find Tumblr posts saying that they will never question someone identifying as queer as straights larping as queer shouldn't be a concern. It's very telling who is behind a once gay movement. Now it's just quirky confused straights. This is why LGB is needed as separate from the TQ+ dumbassery.

I chuckled at one of his comments where he says he is a ‘feminine person’ and that his friends say he doesn’t look like a lesbian because of it. I don’t believe for one moment that ever happened to him but if it did it wouldn’t be his femininity giving away the fact he wasn’t a lesbian but rather the fact he is a man.

When I meet someone who is proud they are a Gold Star Lesbian, I tell them that I as a Trans Woman am also, technically, a Gold Star, normally pissing them off...
