That blows my mind. I'm struggling to save up money to possibly buy a plot of land and drop a trailer on it or something, since house prices are out of control.

I can't even fathom directing all of that towards cosmetic surgery to make myself feel better. It short-circuits my brain.

If I had that amount of money, I’d buy land, I’d build a tiny house and I’d start growing my own vegetables. Then I’d build a second or third tiny house and use it as an AirBnB to make some money.

Take care with tiny houses! Make sure you understand the zoning regulations wherever you are, tiny houses are so new that they haven't always been figured out yet, and people have been kicked off of plots of land they plunked one down on.

Also, something I didn't think about until I read into people's experiences ... make sure you have dehumidifiers and ways of keeping the interior dry. I've lived in studio apartments before and made sure to keep windows open and/or run the AC to keep moisture/humidity down indoors and reduce the chance of mildew. Tiny houses are the same size as studios, but with more walls and enclosures.

I’ll definitely keep that in mind. Lots of Windows is key.

I was inspired by Bryce Langston of Living Big in a Tiny House and the houses look cool. He always asks his hosts about the legal aspects of their homes because he cares about all aspects of the movement.

To be fair, I'm sure health insurance paid the bulk of that, but still, that money has to come from somewhere, so it will come from raising the price of health insurance for everyone.
