When I was 16 there was an unequal age of consent, homophobia was rife still even in the popular media, there was no gay marriage, there was not even civil partnerships, and Section 28 was still in force. And yet, I think it was a better time for young gay boys like me. We had representation, we had resources, we had media, we had people sticking up for our absolute human right to be homosexual and proud. Gay 16 year old boys today do not have this. They have nothing. They have no-one. What will become of gay men and our place in society, our lives, our loves, if this current gender identity queer extremism is not reversed. I am terrified to even contemplate.
