I’m convinced that video was made by someone who both fetishizes lesbians and has never actually been in a long-term relationship. No one is blushing and getting shy after giving their live-in partner a kiss. It’s more like, “For the love of god, Emma, please pick up your dirty socks” and then kissing them with zero embarrassment.

I'm still under the impression that lesbianism is nothing but horny pillow fights and scissoring 24/7 and I refuse to be dissuaded from that notion.

It's someone whose only experience with lesbianism is what the see from stereotypical anime shows where all the characters are fundamentally dysfunctional and blush from normal human interactions.

These people really think lesbian relationships are like in anime. Their fetish come from watching yuri and porn and thinking homosexual female relationships are like a teen anime romantic plot.

Or, for a more real slice-of-life:

For the love of god, Anaconda, will you STFU about trans people already? I've heard it all before. And dinner is getting cold.

Rolls his eyes and kisses me with faint irritation and zero embarrassment.

They’re all trans-identifying males. All of them. That’s how you know they’ve literally made up some bizarre shadow culture they call lesbianism that has zero in common with the lives and interests of women who date other women.

Click on their profiles and their profiles are exactly what you’d expect. Are there even any actual women left on r/AL regardless of sexual orientation or is phase 3 of the takeover finally complete?

[–]julesburm1891 19 insightful - 5 fun19 insightful - 4 fun20 insightful - 5 fun -  (0 children)

I pettily clicked on all the profiles in the comments. There are two that aren’t obviously dudes from the first couple posts. The first had a whole lot of mental health shit going on and the second is all over a bunch of bisexual subs. R/ActuallyNoLesbians I guess.

You don’t even need to click on their profiles. I was active on there for years and it’s super easy to guess which one is a woman and which one isn’t - they can write the most innocent shit, that has nothing to do with any trans related stuff and you’d still be right 9/10.

And I’d definitely say it’s complete. You'll get the occasional young lesbian asking questions, you’ll get the occasional confused straight woman asking questions and discussions about crushes - but if it comes to content that’s heavily upvoted and engaged with it’s male. Granted there are some women who chugged the kool aid and are basically only there to criticize, censor and insult homosexual women and get them off their terfy, evil and transphobic ways while claiming they’re lesbians themselves since their husband came out as a trans woman three hours ago....but apart from that this subreddit is dudes.

If I was dating someone who just laid on the couch all day staring at the door waiting for me to come home I would break up with her so fucking fast.

From that alone, you realise it's a male fantasy. That's probably what guys thought women did in the 50s.

[–]hufflepuff-poet 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It is a male fantasy, one of the dudes said he wanted his "girlfriend to open the door before he even put his keys in". How these men can think they are lesbians is beyond me when all their ideas are the same horny bs that straight men imagine when they hear "lesbian".

[–]howdidthishappen 18 insightful - 2 fun18 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 2 fun -  (8 children)

Any reason why they’re so into anime? I never got that. Ever since this sub got really flooded with „transbians“ it’s full of anime shit.

[–]MilkTea 19 insightful - 5 fun19 insightful - 4 fun20 insightful - 5 fun -  (5 children)

Because they hate reality.

Edit: instead of enjoying cartoons and anime as entertainment, they try to make it a "reality". Like an extreme form of escapism.

[–]howdidthishappen 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Makes sense I guess. Just strange how they all flock to this in particular, when there’s lots of other genres that let you „escape reality“. But maybe trying to turn into reality like you said, makes more sense with this genre.

[–]Elvira95Viva la figa 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, I escape reality with videogames or books not lesbian animes. Like I'm not into that at all. I was a bit in the past, but now they seem too childish and cheesy.

[–]lovelyspearmintLesbeing a lesbian 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Because anime has a ton of fetishisation in the shows themselves, outside of being fetishists by fans. You're not as likely to see panty shots and harems and horny antics in western media. Not to mention the entire subgenre of "cute girls doing cute things" that usually has underage teenage girls as main characters which get fetishised to all hell.

[–]SerpensInferna 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I've also heard the theory that anime is attractive to those on the spectrum because of the exaggerated facial features, expressions, voices, and interactions. It is easier for them to both read and imitate. (My autistic female cousin and her friend circle LOVES anime, anecdotally).

Considering the crossover between TRAs and the autism spectrum, I think it has some merit.

And I 100% agree it's definitely combined with all the fetishization going on.

[–]lovelyspearmintLesbeing a lesbian 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Animation in general is more attractive to autistic people, exactly because smaller gestures/expressions are more obvious and expressive than real life. I'm personally obsessed with good quality/fluid animation in anime, so the expressions and over the top nature does nothing for me. I harbour some doubt that there are as many autistic trans people as people claim there are, though. Often they're socially awkward (but not pervasively so) self diagnosers who act 'autistic' (i.e. read about it and start applying that to their own behaviour) and say they are, but don't actually meet the criteria for it.

There are, on the other hand, many people who are on the spectrum and are gender non-conforming due to the lack of awareness/caring for gender expectations/presentation (I fall under this category), and as a result, many are convinced by peers, parents, psychologists or by online circles/forums that they're trans, and once an autistic person has a special (obsessive) interest in something, it's very difficult to change their mind. Becoming trans also allows them to feel like they belong somewhere, since the trans community is notorious for being inclusive and welcoming (so long as you don't desist).

Autism. Exaggerated emotions. Predictable plots. Etc.

maybe it’s because they are cute little girly girls like they wish they could have been when they were younger.

Why do they look so young...? They look like children.

Sorry if this is offensive to you anime-watchers lol, it just weirds me out a little. Is that on purpose?

Not all anime is like that, but yeah, a lot of it is. Japan has disgusting age of consent laws. I believe 14 for boys and 13 for girls, so yeah, pedophilia is legal and often depicted in anime. It's possible that those girls (women?) depicted are said by the artist to be adults, but the fact remains that they are drawn to look like children because that is considered sexy in Japan. This is most common in "slice of life" or "healing" anime, which is basically trans-id male grooming content, that depicts women and girls' lives and lesbian relationships, well, like this. Then, boys and men get jealous and angry, wanting to live this life that they don't know doesn't even exist and was just made up in another man's head, then we get the transbians we see today.

Whoa, holy shit. Don't know how I had never heard of that! That's fucking crazy.

Gotcha, thanks for the rundown. Sounds like I have some reading to do...

Yeah, it's disturbing. That's also why pedophilic themes are so common in yaoi.

Ok but in all seriousness that's how a lot of transbians start out from what I've heard, and if you feel like a girl you're valid, and even if you're just cis and enjoy this content, you're valid too :) 28 Reply u/Emma_S02 avatarEmma_S02 (She/Her) Trans Lesbian 23h

r/egg_irl maybe

This is a grooming sub at this point. This is not an accurate depiction of lesbian relationships and a straight man cannot become a lesbian! What these creeps need to do, is log off and go talk to some real (opposite sex attracted) women and work on getting in touch with reality.
