It's sad nobody can have an actual conversation. When I discovered LGBdropthet, I expected there to be disagreements; even fights. But the level of vitriol here almost rivals that of the transcult vs lgb.

It really doesn't and it's not even close. You're new here. Welcome to the sub, and please have a look around at the many non-hostile actual conversations taking place. The 'B in LGB Spaces' thread, and this meme response thread, are not indicative of the usual tenor of discussion.

Not really new, just decided to part take in the discussion. It's alright, people see things differently. For me personally, I think when insults and dismissive responses gather up it can water down the discussion since the OP/commenters go in circles defending themselves.

I feel similarly. Saidit is my favorite forum, in large part because it is (mostly) a free speech site but also because it's based on the pyramid of debate. Comments that advocate violence (which I have never seen here except from the occasional gendercult tourists) or repeatedly resort to name-calling and ad-hom attacks should be reported.

But really, we all get along pretty well for the most part.

I think it was the unironic use of "biphobe" that got to me. That the only criticism LGs can have comes from a place of prejudice.

I see. Yeah, that certainly has the potential to be a defensive conversation-ender.
