To the TRAs lurking here, either all of us are brigading that thread, or maybe gay men are fed up and are no longer staying silent.

Wow that’s the biggest skirmish in awhile. Raiders dropping in and screeching like banshees from all over the tranosphere.

Its a shame lesbians dont enjoy the same online open conversation like gays do, a mixture of misogyny and homophobia. TrueLesbians was literally the female counterpart of AGB but no it was banned because of TrAnSpHoBiA, I did check out TrueLesbians out of curiosity to see if it was really that "transphobic", it really wasn't. Reddit worships MTFs so much, I'm sure TurdFinn and Mr Aimee Challenor were instrumental in the banning of truelesbian and its related subs during the GC purge, when TrueLesbian wasnt even explicitly GC at all.

Also, really sensible and articulate comments on that post. If it was a TRA sub then all the comments would be full of deranged lunacy filled word salads and screeching. One thing I genuinely hate about the TRAs is their lack of sensibility, these people cannot argue with decency.

“…doing whatever they need to be happy”

But they aren’t happy now, are they?

I absolutely LOVE this comment:

Fundamental problem and potential for conflict within ' the community™ ' is the fact that sexual orientation is about how YOU perceive OTHERS. While gender identity is about how OTHERS perceive YOU. One is an inwardly directed instinct while the other can't exist in a vacuum and is depended on societal structures and other people's compliance.

Trans identity requires "validation". The concept of "validation" is the act of communicating your perception of another person. Problem is that expressing/exercising your sexual orientation always is an act of communicating your perception of another person.

This inevitably makes sexual orientation a tool for validation or an act of invalidation if you view it through the lens of gender identity.

So if my sexual orientation - a trait protected by law that defines my status as a minority and all the disadvantages that comes with it - is also seen as an integral part of gender identity validation, then we have a problem. It unhealthily intertwines the two and puts pressure on sexuality.

Because consequently, that either means that I, the homosexual, have to change my sexuality or that homosexuality itself has to be redefined into a term I effectively can't use to define myself anymore.

No matter where you stand in that debate - it should be easy to recognize the conflict here.
