The Hungarian law bans all educational materials and programs for children that are considered to promote homosexuality, gender reassignment and the concept of sexuality deviating from the one assigned to a person at birth.

I keep seeing people talk about gender identity and transitioning when they clearly mean sexual orientation, and visa-versa. Here it is in print on cnn saying sexuality is assigned at birth. Wut??

that video where the woman is complaining about a man in the spa, the asian guy quotes sexual orientation as to why he's allowed in there, I don't hear him say because of the gender laws.... i've heard it in other places, I know its probably accidental but sometimes I wonder if people are just confused because its always sexual orientation and gender lumped together.

I noticed that too in the video - people are confused because the T have so successfully conflated gender identity with sexual orientation.

So the poor spa worker knew that California law forced the spa to let Big Swinging Dick into the women's naked area, but wasn't quite sure why, so reached for "sexual orientation" probably thinking something like, "It's one of those LGBTQ terms, I'll just use this one and hope it's right."

If anything sexuality assigned at birth would be your sexual orientation, if it is something we are born with. I think it is innate and develops as we grow and develop our sexual selves as adolescents into adulthood.

For my job, I used to have to pay attention to what politicians around the world said. A lot of times, politicians are deliberately mistranslated.

For instance, Iranian politicians are routinely mistranslated in the US in order to make their statements sound way more inflammatory than they are.

All to say that this guy might not have used as strong a word as "disgusted" and it's just good ol' CNTrans trying to manufacture outrage.
