Kink doesn't belong at pride because it has fuck all to do with being homosexual and promoting a connection between homosexuality and kink is very harmful.

Kinks belong in your bedroom, not in public. Forcing the public to be involved in your kinks is a violation of consent, a concept I'm noticing the TQ+ has a hard time with lately.

Yeah. Being kinky isn't an issue, but for god's sake if you're going to go to a fetish bar, wear your stuff under normal clothing and dress up fully there. Being a public exhibitionist is no less a violation of consent than it is when an AGP forces women to gratify and validate them.

Not wanting graphic depictions of what people privately get up to shoved in your face or in children’s faces does not equate a “worrying message about sex.”

This is the most non-sequitur thing I have ever heard in my life.

They are pulling a "please, think of the sex workers!" as a response for people's concerns about kink at pride...

This is so stupid.

Yes, i am very worried that so many want children exposed to an “industry” that drugs and abuses its “employees” to the point of suicide

I see even Taiwan has this kink crap infecting their Pride events.

She’s more interested in labour rights for sex workers and advancing the wider goals of the LGBT+ community.

That's just the thing. Pride should have naught to do with sex work issues; And it shouldn't matter what orientation these sex workers are either. It's like the concerns of the T. Yeah, there are gay and bi trans with problems but it's still a separate focus.

Enough of this "wider goals" thing. This is what happened to Atheism+(The irony of that plus/cross sign is not lost on me). They piled on so many "wider goals" they eventually collapsed under the weight of their own ponderous religion-esque activism.

Pride has become similar to an American "Christmas Tree Bill", where everyone is hanging their own agenda on to the colourful Pride tree like an ornament.

we used to look at the problem of homeless gay youth as something we needed to help them with. Now T needs transition money so the community now has to validate sex work.

Yeah, sex work is an actual problem in need of a solution. But they're not even proposing trying to find one. They only care about legitimizing it by tying it into Pride. I didn't even consider the transition fund motivation. And of course the transing industry would be totally ok with this because then they would be able to milk these sex workers continuously for transing money until they die of young age.

This solution is the only one proven to reduce the deaths of prostitutes: https://nordicmodelnow.org/

Kink doesn’t belong at pride parades, because kinks are obscene. Yeah, gay people have kinks. Guess what? So do straight people. Having a kink does not make you LGBT, and associating kinks with homosexuality or bisexuality is poisoning the well of our movement.

Sex work is also a separate issue, that affects straight people as well as gay and bisexual people. It’s morally wrong, the people who pay for sex should be ashamed of themselves and it should be illegal to promote sex work. There should be community-sponsored measures in place to help sex workers leave the industry and help these sex workers get back on their feet.

Pink News and the like can’t seem to separate kink/porn/prostitution from sex.
