I'm aware, I just don't like that little scale.

You can't beg out of attraction to trans people ("I literally can't be attracted to you, I'm superstraight") and then leave the bis hanging with no excuse.

Yes, it's petty and dumb but, dammit, so am I.

It's not LG's job to make up an excuse for you. They're just describing their own orientations. The fact is, LG are literally incapable of being attracted to the opposite sex, while for bi people, it's just a/n (understandably very common) preference. You don't need an excuse; you have the right to say no.

Sexual orientation and even preferences don't need an excuse. No is no and it's a completely valid response when it comes to dating and sex. It does not need reason or an "excuse". Anything other is coercion and rape culture.

But at least you have self-knowledge.

I'll not hold my breath for the superstraights to bravely stand up and say "No means no, I could theoretically be attracted to you but I am not." They'll make that someone else's problem while acting like cowards.

Sic the psychotic rapists on the bis, implying all the way that we can't tell them no. That actually puts vulnerable young women in danger (possibly guys too, it happens,) since their "community" is offering them up as bait to distract predators.

Thanks for the compliment!
