My gran used to have this friend that constantly took advantage of her. She didn’t have a car and would ask my gran to take her to doctor’s appointments. Then she needed her to take her to the shop. Then to vet appointments for her dog. Then she felt like the dog would be better off with my gran, but she would still cover the expenses. Then she needed my gran to pay for the dog. Then she needed my gran to find homes for the feral cat and kittens that took up residence in her yard.

And so it went for years.

These people are that lady with a Twitter account and an unhealthy obsession with LGB people.

Sounds like the friend had real needs though. She needed transportation. Her animals needed help. I don't know if the woman was in poverty and desperate to ask for help.

Quite different from non-stop "don't you find mentally ill LARPers attractive?"

Kinda sorta. It was more a situation of she had money, but pissed it away on stupid things and was pretty crappy to everyone around her. So her entire family had cut her off. But, my gran is a lady who can’t say no to people and she really took advantage of that. It wasn’t, “oh, my dog has a vet appointment in two weeks, could you take us to the vet?” It was more of a “I’ve known about this vet appointment for two weeks, but I’m just now telling you about it. I expect you to drop whatever you’re doing—work, church, or spending time with family and friends—and come help me immediately or you’re a bad friend.”
