I guess their point is that most people on the surface assume a character or person is straight. It's not exactly a wrong assumption though when a majority of people are and even amongst bi people there tends to be more an inclination to straight relationships.

Well, I wouldn't call this an inclination, since that makes it sound as though bi people are inherently more attracted to the opposite sex than the same sex, you know? I think it's more like this: most people are straight, so most of the people who'll be attracted to a bi person will be of the opposite sex, and therefore the odds are that bi people will end up in "straight relationships". That's not so much an inclination as... just math.

That's a huge factor, but I also think since the majority of people are straight, the majority of bi people are straight-leaning. They probably make up the majority of the closeted bis.
