Etcetera Etcetera is, for me, the poster child of how this is all bullshit. "i am a male who performs femininity but goes by they/them so i can excuse myself out of sexism/homophobia/misogyny any time it comes up. give me those bonus points + allow me to be victimized!"

there is nothing wrong with being a man that fancies men, and ALSO wears makeup and dresses. that doesn't make you a woman - to fit into gay stereotypes. why does it seem to be so hard for them to define the specific "reason" that tips them over the gender edge, makes them nonbinary rather than just a person with varied hobbies and interests?

On the much more enjoyable British season two there are at least two who "identify" as non-binary but neither is half as annoying as Etc Etc. They're just gay men who are uncomfortable in their skins because they aren't conventionally attractive.

Drag Race USA will go further downhill because it has become "woke", especially with the inclusion of GottMik and all the trans bullshit we have to endure in future seasons. The fandom also is extremely moronic and woke, they put Black queens on a pedestal then worship them as if they are the second coming of Jesus, one misstep by said Black queen and they are public enemy number 1.

GottMik was so cringey. She wants to be one of the boys so bad but then vilifies them by doing all the “down with cis” crap. Then there was that song she literally wrote herself about being a girl and she knew would be heard by everyone, but then she promptly threw a fit that they would find out??? I avoid fandom these days but I’m sure they all babied her. 🙄

I liked drag in general before in the past, it was supposed to be a middle finger to gender norms and the idea that gay men really just want to be women. Now it feels less subversive and more narcissistic. Which is why I see more & more bio queens, like congrats...you made your female body & face look like a woman ?

The first seasons of rupaul drag race from the 1st to the 9nth were interesting with the winners and the challenges, but from Season 10 to 13, it was way less interesting, and season 13 is the worst with the virtue signaling and trans men candidate
