Maybe we could do a poll or something with some better-known options? E.g. Discord, Ruqqus? Just some sort of backup platform where people could re-convene in the event of another outage, that could be set up quickly. Doesn't have to be the ideal platform.

Long-term it'd be nice to have a website or something, but that takes a substantial investment of energy and time to set up.

Is Substack an option in any way...? I was half debating trying to look for people in Graham Linehan's comment sections while Saidit was down.

Also, I missed everyone else, too. I've gotten a lot busier lately (thanks, life) and but wanted to check in the other day, and got a nasty surprise when I kept being redirected to Reddit.

I think discord is a good place for a temporary backup and brainstorming solutions in case saidit goes under

As long as it's run by our mods and they have thoroughly checked to make sure they closed any security holes that would allow unauthorized people to control content, mess with users, etc.
