Lmao, stop making assumptions. I know both of these women really well, one of them is my sister, neither of them are homophobic or believe in queer theory, in fact I vent to them often about the TQ+ and they're fully supportive. Theyre just women who don't experience sexual attraction, and I don't agree that they deserve to be lumped in with queer weirdos

Don't listen to him. He's a complete moron. Asexuality is a biological thing but it's not an orientation, it's a lack of sexuality. It can be caused by biological factors, and a majority of these (at least these days) can be caused by medication that lowers libido, such as antidepressants and antianxiety medication.

Thats why every single gay and lesbian i know used to identify as asexual before moving on to bi and then finally gay. HMMM, almost like that mental trauma of internalized homophobia plays a large role in our damage and it's not pills. By the way you're being "ace-a-phobic" by saying it's some sort of damage. And her "pure" sister notices the sweat dripping from a man's abs. How very "asexual" of her.

You were the one who mentioned any damage. I just said that those specific medications, which are used by everyone, not just LGB, can cause a loss of libido, ergo people thinking they're asexual. They're not damaged in any way.

Anything (including diet) that bumps up your serotonin enough (btw, don't play chemistry set with your serotonin; see serotonin syndrome) can tank your libido. I've experienced this and never liked it. Fortunately diet is easy to modify. But yeah, at those times, I would have absolutely no interest whatsoever. So I feel for people who take SSRIs, etc. I see what they mean and it blows. Or...not....

little kids, teenagers identify as asexual. and to them, it's seen as a biological identity (which it isnt). they see themselves just like us. they see themselves as a sexual orientation so the people you're throwing yourself to in defence of their "identity" would be greatly offended that drugs can cause asexuality. it would be like saying homosexuality could be "caused" by drugs and we're all tired of having to deal with people like you who pretend you were born yesterday and dont understand the deep inferences you've made through your comments. "you were the one who mentioned damage"...no, you did, through inference. i mentioned their infighting. whatever happened to that "pyramid of debate"? At least i dragged it down to insult. It seems you just dragged it down with your...limitations.

i see you havent met the "asexual" community. First thing they do when you tell them it's not a sexual orientation is go on a homophobic rampage. How did you misinterpret what i said to mean that asexuality itself is inherently homophobic rather than the overwhelming majority of their community? They do experience attraction and yes, theyre lying. What exactly do you think the "spectrum" means? It means there are multiple ways there are attracted to people but have hang ups about it. These people have so many factions and so much infighting over who's "legitimate" and "valid" and "gatekeeping". There are nymphomaniac women calling other "asexuals" bitches because theyre not "validating" her asexuality since she sleeps with men but has no romantic attraction to them. Your sister checks out men. Asexuality is not a thing. Your sister sees the sweat drip from someone's abs. Asexuality is not a thing and never has been. But i do see serious, massive trauma with lesbians and gays where their internalized homophobia is so strong that they initially identify as asexuals....like me. and then come out as bi and then finally gay. That's our community's understanding of asexuality.
