    Even my gay male friend with Aspergers is kind of notorious for being difficult, and a lot of people won't have anything to do with him because he's said things in social groups about people present that would make your jaw drop, the result being that you really can't take him anywhere.

    Although autistic women/girls are usually better at 'masking', where they consciously or unconsciously imitate social behaviours and appear neurotypical, although it can be tiring mentally.
