I mean, before they scrubbed their website this year, they had one sentence about women, a bit about “queer” people, and a whole chunk about trans people. It’s not surprising.

This is the sort of thing that will send a backlash at us because it’s “LGBTQ” not “T.” Supporters are going to look at this, be mad that the money didn’t go to regular black charities, and then blame us.

The Black Trans Lives Matter rally last year in NYC (?) claimed to have over 20K attendees IIRC.

People are such sheep...

Yeah lipstick alley feminist group talked about this a few months ago, and you know they (BLM) don't actually care for black families. Or helping them.

lipstick alley is a bunch of angry black straight women more homophobic than neo nazis and the KKK lol. when they find out BLM was founded by a bunch of lesbians to help the black community, they were enraged. i dont know why black lesbians dont just admit to themselves no matter how what you do for these people and how long you carry these losers on your back, they'll take credit for everything you do and then ask you to thank them for it and then expect gratitude for their narcissism. No one has screwed themselves over more than black gays and lesbians who betrayed white gays/lesbians by attacking them to show loyalty to homophobic blacks that gave them nothing for their betrayal and now no white gays/lesbians would help gay/lesbian blacks even if they were on fire. So good luck with that.

well done, grammaroo, now you've finally moved onto hating gay men as well. Is there anyone now who doesn't escape your ire?

If the lives of black people actually mattered to organisations like Black Lives Matter, then BLM wouldn’t be funding efforts to cut penises off black men.

I'm really surprised that this politically neutral org turned out to be grifters.

It is private funded, not a charity or open organization, so they are not obligated to show from where they are taking money and where they are spending money.

This already was a big sign that this organization can and most likely will be abusing donations.

Looks like it even worse: https://twitter.com/Firestoned5/status/1392064029787496454

Thanks.

And yeah, out of 30 organizations, 20 are exclusively transgender organizations and few more LGBTQ+ (so still transgender organizations, but claiming that not). And only about 3 or 4 are about black people. That BLM Inc. is just one big scam and not doing what promising - but stealing money funded to support black people and spending them elsewhere.

Is this sarcasm? Legitimate and not a snarky question, it's so hard to tell sometimes.

I was not surprised at all when I found out one of the founders had purchases several million dollar mansions.

[–]nettygay5 12 insightful - 3 fun12 insightful - 2 fun13 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

so the organization that was started almost exclusively by a bunch of black lesbians as a charity for the black community, which violently despises them and gay blacks even more so, was hijacked by a bunch of "trans" people who pretend theyre the biggest victims of all time. The black lives matter organization could have used the money and movement to finally address the psychotic levels of violent homophobia within the black community, especially with the raging black women and their seething hatred towards gay men...but all that money and attention went to idiots in wigs.

Just so you understand, every time there are resources: financial, cultural, empathy or anything going towards trans people, it ends up being a waste of resources that could have gone to fixing homophobia and uplifting gays/lesbians. What we're telling the world by letting this happen is: "oh..homophobia? Dont worry about that. No..dont focus on gay/lesbian infrastructure (cultural and communal)...we all plan on transitioning into trans people anyway so go ahead and teach your community about trans things because all us homosexuals will be planning on being trans anyway..thanks.

It wasn't hijacked pretty sure one of those "lesbians" is married to a trans identifying male

It was T from the start and to create chaos not to do charity. One of the founders has been in jail for terrorism because she blew something up in the US.

It's been a grift from the start.

Black Lives Matter is a front group for the Democratic Party. Their donations are processed by ActBlue and usually go to liberal PACs.

Didn't a founder of BLM just buy multi-million dollar houses for herself? She claimed she "earned" that money and didn't take it from donations to BLM. Absolute BS.

Technically she is a member of the "community" the charity is ostensibly tasked with helping.

[–][deleted] 10 insightful - 2 fun10 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 2 fun -  (8 children)

The thing is, I remember when BLM was first formed. The founders were black women who centered black female issues alongside those of black men. They’ve gradually been co-opted shortly after to attend to and prioritize other groups, and become a general “progressive” organization. Weird and depressing.

[–]kwallio 8 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

co-opted

Interesting way of saying "grifters who sold out at the earliest opportunity"

I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt and say they caved under pressure. If you don’t want to be labeled a hate group in the current social climate, it’s impossible to establish boundaries or define priorities with solid objectives that exclude certain demographics.

From the very beginning, the women who propped up the BLM movement based their teachings off of a terrorist wanted for assassinating cops and openly admitted to being trained Marxist agitators with the agenda of destroying the western civilization. If you didn't know that, you weren't paying attention.

Source

[–]chazzstrong 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Originally? The official BLM website. However it's not exactly hard to look up yourself. You can even find the original screen-grab where they said as much themselves.
I don't do 'source' calls anymore. The internet exists, you're obviously on it, do the leg-work if you're actually interested.

[–]usehername 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Ok. Have fun making claims without backing them up. I suspect your actual source was Fox News.

[–]chazzstrong 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

See? This is why I don't do the work for you. No matter what website I propped up, you'd call it bullshit.
Instead of just going on the internet and typing in a few words, you'd rather clamp your hands over your ears and pretend like you can't hear anything. You are intellectually lazy and dishonest. You can literally search up 'BLM trained Marxists' on Youtube and instantly get the co-founders interview where she admits it, but you'd rather toss out 'muh fox news' because clearly anyone who peddles in truth, no matter how painful, HAS to be Conservative right?

Congratulations. You're the first person I'm blocking on saidit.

You made an assumption and were wrong.

Yep. Guess I was a little hasty.

no matter how painful

It's not painful.

Congratulations. You're the first person I'm blocking on saidit.

I don't care lol

What the hell has BLM ever done for black people anyway? It's clearly just a money-grab. People will throw money at organizations without checking what it is they do just because they have a good catchphrase. I suspected it was a front, but didn't know what for. Thanks for the info.

[–]Q-Continuum-kin 8 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Kind of not surprising. Back when BLM was trending everywhere last year and then the TRAs started to push it to B trans LM then that wasn't good enough so they changed it to T-BLM i got a bit pissed that trans idiots were taking over yet another organization. Especially because black people really do need help in the US and TRAs just REFUSE to let anyone else have the spotlight for any quantity of time.

I had an acquaintance counter attack me for being upset over this and he said he "knows all the people leading BLM and it's their idea" (something like that). Of course someone else chimed in with the trans need it more argument. So i cited FBI crime stats and they tried to use second hand anecdotes as an argument. Not even his own anecdotes... So i obviously rejected that and I "coincidentally" got ghosted by like 5 people in that circle that week.

It's not like BLM deserves or should get the spotlight though, they are a horrible organization.

[–]chazzstrong 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's almost like BLM was never actually about black lives, but only used as a political fundraiser for Marxist terrorists to leech money from ignorant, unaware 'woke' westerners to push their anti-America agenda?

Naaaaah.
